Texas wannabe political influencer and documented George Soros-funded hack, Alexander Muse, endorsed Briscoe Cain in his run for congress. Then, when Cain was installed as the interim legal counsel for the Republican Party of Texas, he complained that Cain was a bad choice.

The flip-flopping here is so egregious it almost doesn’t seem real.

Months ago, Muse used to advertise that he only considered sponsorship opportunities on his X account for a minimum of $5,000:

I applied for media credentials for the Texas Democratic Convention. Intent on giving the dems the same political coverage I gave the Republican Party of Texas convention. However I received this email two days ago and it seems the Dems have decided not to allow CR to have media credentials:

First posted by Brad Johnson of The Texas Bullpen, the letter by Chairwoman D’rinda Randall lets the 8 legislate proprieties for the RPT, names Briscoe Cain as temporary legal counsel, and then adds that the party faces “a large deficit.”

This is opposite to what George claimed earlier this month stating that the RPT was in a good financial position:

When Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said state Rep. James Talarico is going to hell for being a vegan at the GOP convention, I’ll admit my first reaction was: well, Dan would know. He’s a man of faith. He hosts that radio show. And we trust him on the abortion stuff, the Ten Commandments, and especially the THC stuff. So if he says vegans go to hell, who am I to wave my arms.

But I’ve been chewing on it (prime rib), and I’m just not sure.

Talarico is on TikTok quoting Romans (not the Romans passages you are thinking about, obviously) and the thing he loves more than anything, in his own words, is transgender children. That’s a guy with pretty big heart. He’s also polite to old ladies at HEB. If he goes to hell for the tofu, well, I don’t know what to think. I don’t recall any verse where Jesus specifically condemned the soybean.

That said, many people are saying Talarico did the screwworm. In which case I take back anything nice I ever said about the man.

Either way, Lt. Gov. Patrick has the bigger pulpit, and I’m just a guy with a bass boat I never use my single vote I’ll be praying for James Talarico and his many, many issues.

Foreign Entrepreneurs Stealing Millions in Diesel, Doing the Jobs Americans Won’t

Five foreign nationals got busted for installing skimmers on diesel pumps and siphoning off thousands of gallons a night across North Texas. This has led to many people stating that open borders has a price, and it’s measured by the truckload.

Irving Weekly:

Authorities determined the group was stealing between 1,500 and 2,500 gallons of diesel fuel per night, five to six nights each week. Investigators said the fuel was pumped into hidden compartments built into vehicles used by members of the organization.

Hidden compartments built into vehicles. The same trick used to smuggle people and drugs across the border, now repurposed for grand theft diesel. The skills transfer is real.

Authorities said Diaz-Morejon, Castillo-Oliveros, Pena-Rodriguez, and Lopez-Coba are Cuban nationals. Santiesteban-Lopez is a Mexican national.

Just as Las Vegas is a top destination for gambling, the USA is a top vacation destination for criminals looking to rip off the richest people in the world.

Officials estimate the investigation prevented as much as $10 million in future fraud losses.”

It took a coalition of nine agencies to stop five people from stealing fuel out of gas pumps.

Additionally, two other individuals encountered during the search warrant operations were detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for administrative immigration matters.

Ripping off millions in diesel is pretty bold. We are literally looking at the Tony Montana of truck stops with this group.

Someone should have told this group to stick to petty crimes and general disrespect like the rest of the illegal alien community and they will be totally safe in Texas.

The COVID scam was always a wealth transfer. Here is one of the recipients now, cruising past a prison sentence in a G-Wagon.

A wealthy businesswoman who submitted fraudulent loan applications during the pandemic avoided prison Tuesday. Sandra Pope Solis, 61, of Rancho Viejo collected $206,000 from the Paycheck Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program during the pandemic — and spent the money on a Mercedes-Benz.

The government encouraged businesses to apply for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program, which provided working capital, and Paycheck Protection Program, which covered payroll costs.

There it is. The government printed the cash, begged everyone to grab a fistful, then acted shocked when people did exactly that.

Former Republican Party of Texas General Counsel Used Personal E-Mail to Communicate Party Legal Advice

In e-mails obtained by Current Revolt. Former Republican Party of Texas (RPT) General Counsel, Rachel Hooper, used her personal Apple iCloud email account to communicate legal advice regarding the party.

In May, Hooper was asked by Vice-Chair for guidance regarding the resignation of former Dallas GOP Chairman Allen West. Hooper replies, from her personal iCloud email account.

In June, Hooper replies again from her personal account to offer more legal clarification regarding the Dallas County Chair situation.

Abraham George Changed Name From Reji N Abraham???

In a recently surfaced Youtube video from 11 years ago, it seems that former RPT Chairman Abraham George had once been named Reji N Abraham:

The video from 2015 discusses the Pentecostal Conference of North American Keralites where Abraham is described as the treasurer. The video is entirely in another language.

Many delegates Current Revolt spoke to last week disliked George’s record, the internal party chaos, and were concerned about unity in November. A majority of convention delegates demanded change.

Days after George’s loss, one of George’s top promoters and (now former) RPT lawyer struggled to cope and turned to a wild conspiracy theory.

After news broke that Jen Hall was installed as Executive Director for the Texas GOP, ex-speaker Dade Phelan retweeted it, causing now-former General Counsel Rachel Hooper to claim Phelan was now really controlling the Republican Party of Texas.

For those unaware, Randall achieved a landslide victory, winning delegations that have always been hotbeds of grassroots, anti-Phelan activity. Overall, George was tied with former congressional candidate Sandra Whitten, and he only won three districts including his home Senate district 8, as well as inner Dallas County, and one in the Houston metroplex.

Considering this uprising by grassroots delegates from across Texas, especially areas that backed Paxton and others targeted by the near-forgotten ex-speaker, the belief that this is a vast Phelanite conspiracy is bonkers.

Besides, many conservative SREC members accused George of undermining the party’s legislative priorities to protect an incumbent. One of these was Christin Bentley, who was among Phelan’s top critics.

In the weeks leading up to the campaign, especially during the runoff, George shot himself in the foot a few times. One was taking a video with LGBT grifter Republican Scott Presler, who was previously fired for allegedly having sex in Virginia GOP HQ. Current Revolt spoke to many delegates who were unhappy to see Presler promoted.

Many people are wondering if Hooper would’ve kept her job even if George won. She was known for controversy even before the convention, on matters ranging from online behavior, to paying for ads against social media-savvy Rep. Brian Harrison, to even delivering messages telling SRECs to not talk with media. Hooper often behaved like she wanted to be party lawyer, influencer, SREC member, and king-maker.

Two years ago, Hooper even stupidly threatened to sue Current Revolt:

Regardless, Hooper is no longer RPT General Counsel. After her boss’s loss, she was seen leaving the convention in a huff. We have no word on her current employment.

Exhibit A: Gina Hinojosa, currently running for Governor, demanding answers on the screwworm.

Texans deserve answers. Great idea. Here are a few: Did Gina sign the letter 94 House members sent Governor Greg Abbott about the screwworm last August? Nah, don't worry about it.

Has the committee she's demanding a hearing from already met on the screwworm? Four times. Did the Speaker already issue two interim charges on it? He did. Welcome to Texas politics.

Oh, and on the meat thing. Did Gina vote for the bill prohibiting lab-grown "meat" in Texas? She did not. Neither did senate candidate James Talarico, who once announced his campaign was going meatless, a sacrifice that would heal the climate. He has since un-announced it.

As with many political candidates, campaign virtue-signaling begins to ramp up during election time where candidates pretend to care about issues that they never cared about previously.

As someone who’s watched the inner-politics of the Texas GOP for a while, I must say this is (so far) among the most boring contests for leading the Republican Party of Texas (RPT) I’ve had to monitor. Over the course of six years, we went from 2020’s attention-grabbing debates between James Dickey and LTC Allen West, to melancholic back-and-forths at forums a majority of candidates don’t even attend.

This was one such event.

Days ago, the Young Republicans of Houston hosted an RPT Chair candidate debate. The only candidates appearing where incumbent Abraham George, and former congressional candidate Sandra Whitten, though one young man did some speaking on behalf of George’s top challenger D’rinda Randall. This video is also found on Sandra Whitten’s Facebook page.

I dissected this forum that went on for more than an hour. Before we begin, please forgive me if I misunderstand something. George’s heavy accent + potato quality audio = yours truly having to rewind more than someone should.

Because this article shouldn’t be the length of a CVS receipt, I’m focusing on the key moments and takeaways from the debate.

Starting with introductions, a man representing Randall emphasized the Texas GOP’s need for a strong grassroots, and her time spent training local leaders. He also claims Randall will give young folks a voice in the party, ensuring Texas stays red for the next generation.

Sandra Whitten of Laredo started off with her record in South Texas, saying she did much of the work the Texas GOP refused to do. She spoke on the need for Republicans to show up in communities.

Abraham George introduced himself by talking about how he was born in India and that his parents immigrated to Texas and how long it took, along with his time in the Tea Party and the Collin County GOP. He praises his record, pointing out that Trump won in 2024 by greater margins than previously.

10:50 - When asked about qualifications, George took credit for flipping 12 counties, getting Trump elected, and apparently he’s the reason Speaker Burrows is a conservative despite being “elected by majority Democrats.” He bragged about running $30,000 worth of ads in his district about Burrows working with Dems, resulting in the speaker needing to prove his conservatism, and 43 priority bills passing.

12:12- Whitten spoke about showing up in blue areas of South Texas, even buying Trump signs with personal funds “to ensure Donald Trump got across the finish line.” She claimed the Texas GOP was AWOL, despite taking credit for flipping South Texas. Apparently, all the party did was knock on 100,000 doors out of 6 million. She described the current Texas GOP’s actions as “peeing in the ocean, and pretending you’re filling it up.” Overall, Whitten suggested her and other south Texans did all the work.

13:47 - When asked about the RPT Chair’s role, Whitten said the chair must “roll up our sleeves” and go to places no one wants to go. She claimed the state GOP ignores south and west Texas, and spoke on needing to recruit candidates. Bringing up the debate on closed primaries, she says the party wants to vet voters, but won’t vet candidates, and mentioned that if we close primaries, many Dems will just register as Rs, creating similar results. Whitten also spoke about fixing party division so we can bring in voters, and good candidates.

15:19 - George complained that most people at Walmart don’t know about the chairman’s duties. He stated that his roles are getting conservative legislation/priorities passed, and this is done by getting Republicans elected. He mentions he’s 46 years old, and he’s not planing on being in politics for the coming years.

19:51 - When asked about engaging the grassroots with the Texas GOP, Whitten talks about looking for delegates and candidates, and that we need to show them we are a party of action. She says the chairman needs to be supportive of them and county chairmen.

21:05 - George implies he’s the grassroots candidate, and the party is structured to not be top down. The county chairs don’t report to the state chair. Precinct Chairs report to county chair. Priorities put together by delegates, not SREC or leadership. Bring in grassroots happens in 2 ways: to be volunteers, and bring them to be the next leaders, via “GOP University.”

22:28 - After being asked about the fundraising (which many people are asking about lately), George claims the RPT raised $50.5 million, and has enough money to finish their convention. He also revealed his strategy involves getting all the candidates together in one place for fundraising.

23:56 - Whitten’s plan is about “showing we’re driven,” not “more of the same and expecting the same result.” She asked how much fundraising numbers “report the actual party,” and states many are asking how to both raise money for the rest of the convention, and at the same time campaign cash for November. Whitten also bemoans rural parties being fiscally neglected.

25:20 - Whitten revealed her approach for winning the youth: talking about things important to them, making them invested, and overall making them feel welcomed. According to her, they see politics as something bigger than them, and want to change future.

26:37 - George claimed younger voters are more conservative, and convention registration is just $25 for those 25 and under, and their hotel is free He also claimed Charlie Kirk was a close friend of his.

30:45 - When asked how she’ll recruit and support better candidates Whitten brought up that when candidates fill out forms with the party, there’s a packet of info never seen, including questionnaires (like why they’re running). She demands this be public info, so we don’t have “another event” where an Antifa activist can run for Lieutenant Gov.

32:02 - George advocates reaching out to county chairs to find better candidates. He even claimed the Harris County GOP didn’t have a candidate for a commissioner seat Trump won back in 2024, and this was a wake-up call for recruiting local candidates.

33:23 - George states that as soon as he’s re-elected, he’ll put a committee together for Paxton, Abbott, and all our candidates. He spoke with the RNC Chair, who suspects Texas will have $800 million campaign for 2026. According to polls, things will be worse for Republicans than 2018. (Author’s Note: This is when Beto almost beat Cruz, and the GOP has unprecedented losses in the legislature and local governments.)

34:30 - Whitten attacked George for mentioning Paxton’s name a lot, and only now mentioning Abbott once. She mentioned how vital a GOP hold on the governorship is, and how we must knock on doors AND build relationships.

35:46 - The moderator asked how one should resolve issues with their chair or SREC, to which Whitten says they should go to one another first, then go higher, than go to SREC, ensuring they know what’s going on. She claims the SREC has had hands tied for years when dealing with situations, and need empowering to solve these (rather than getting excluded from committees) instead of chair or vice chair.

36:51 - When asked the same question, George reminded people he’s not here to make friends, saying these are handled by going to the rules and platform committee, principles, and priorities. If we have nothing, we fall back on Roberts rules. We’re a fighting machine, and must act like it.

38:32 - George described his approach for engaging with the Texas Legislature, bragging about running ads against the speaker and still being able to pass priorities. He claimed to sit down and confront legislators, showing them platform and priorities. If they can’t keep it, he says don’t use the GOP name. Of course, he recommends showing up to the Texas Capitol.

39:45 - Whitten talked about how she’s actively at the Texas Capitol all the time or calling officials, having relationships on both side of the aisle. She claimed some Dems filed better, more conservative legislation than some Republicans, and that the GOP needs to make sure we have water, data centers don’t take over, and oil and gas jobs aren’t destroyed.

41:04 - Asked about how we reconcile GOP priorities with those in power, Whitten says “Abraham wants to fight everybody; that’s not how we win.” Instead, we need military-style camaraderie, getting conversations going with Republicans who aren’t friends of the party (she named Rep. Jared Patterson.)

42:21 - George talked about having conversations with reps and their staff, mentioning that Legislators did work because “you” showed up.

44:14 - The inquiries are more directed at George, particularly about filing deadline and SREC no confidence letter. George dismissed both questions, defending his filing with “last I checked, 11-10=1” and that everyone filed on June 1st. He dismissed the no confidence letter as being from D’rinda Randall fans who supposedly had no problem with him till recently.

46:52 - When an audience member asked both candidates about party finances and how we win in November, George says he won’t do anything different than 2024, complimenting when the party was united, and vowing to raise money. Whitten was more aggressive, pointing out there’s no Biden to unite against, but we must united behind Gov. Abbott, claiming he kept Texas safe, and that he built more wall than Trump passed.

49:22 - Another audience member asked what how each candidate would build a bridge between state and local parties, at which Whitten took a jab at George’s copious mailers, and that many don’t hear from the Texas GOP unless it’s to fundraise. George then went on about the county not having to report to the state party, and that the state GOP supplies them with data, and gives training via “GOP University” as well as partnering with Rick Green’s Patriot Academy. He talked about getting resources for county parties to work, claiming “SREC’s aren’t blockwalking” at which Whitten quipped “That’s not true.”

1:00:08 - When an attendee asked Whitten what her opponent has done well, she praised George for bringing diversity into the party. She stated the Texas GOP wasn’t “super diverse”, and reflected on anti-White discrimination she faced by Hispanic groups. Whitten rightfully points out that running campaigns on skin and gender is disgusting, then claimed that because Abe is chair, we’ve had diversity in party.

1:03:42 - For closings, the young guy speaking on D’rinda’s behalf asked if we were better off in our party now than we were 4 years ago, and again lauded the youth council she wants to create. Whitten closed she was “sick and tired of being sick and tired", mentioning those blockwalking on their own time, critiquing infighting, and talking about issues. George mainly focused on fighting for the coming election years, and asking what the next two years will look like. He went on, claiming that the 90th legislative session will be about fighting Islamization, ending property tax, and holding officials who let criminals off accountable. At 1:09:17, he claims all statewide elected officials “are probably asking you to support me.”

Overall, this race has been quite contentious between current Chair Abraham George, Vice Chair D’rinda Randall, former candidate Sandra Whitten, Dr. Brooks McKenzie, and who knows who else at this point. George has been a controversial leader since he first announced in 2024, and hasn’t gotten any less so.

Despite everyone’s present boredom, the low energy will (hopefully) cease at the Texas GOP’s coming convention in Houston this week. We look forward to all the clownery and chaos to ensue; see you there!

West resigned on April 15, despite that, these notices are scheduled to be issued on June 10 and June 22.

First Order: Official Call for Meeting

In the first order post dated for June 10th, Allen West issues an Official Call for a Dallas County Republican Party (DCRP) Organizational Meeting:

One small problem with this order: West officially resigned as DCRP chairman back on April 15th.

After resigning, Vice-Chair Tami Brown Rodriquez took over as acting party chair:

In a statement from Tami Brown Rodriquez, who will serve as acting chair of the party, she said the Dallas County Republican Party was “deeply grateful for [West’s] exemplary leadership, steadfast dedication, and unwavering commitment to election integrity and security.”

Second Order: Transition of DCRP Leadership

In his second order, also dated June 10th and signed "Allen West DCRP Chair-Elect," West appoints Lee Jenkins as Executive Director effective June 15th. Jenkins is directed to arrive at the DCRP offices at 9 AM to collect keys, passwords, and access to all party records:

Final Order: Resignation

In his final order, post-dated and signed June 22nd, West resigns for the remainder of his 2026-to-2028 term, effective immediately.

Allen West was the only candidate on the ballot for DCRP chairman in the recent election, his official new-term will start on June 15th. No word on why he is waiting seven days after to resign.

He ran unopposed. He won. He resigned. He ran unopposed again. He won again. He's resigning again in seven days. We'll be monitoring the situation.

Current Revolt reached out to DCRP Chair Tammi Brown-Rodriquez who gave the following statement:

Allen West was also reached out to for comment on these pre-signed documents. No response was received in time for reporting.

The city of Sinton found itself with an emergency water reserve and decided the real emergency was a data center that doesn’t have enough water to run its servers.

This is happening in a region where Corpus Christi is so dry Abbott has floated a state takeover.

The Austin American-Statesman:

Sinton, with 5,500 residents about half an hour north, is fighting those permits in court, citing concerns for its own water supply. But leaders in Corpus Christi, which supplies water to half a million people, now suggest an ulterior motive: Sinton wants a thirsty, new complex of data centers.

Even Michael Miller, the local construction executive and Corpus Christi planning commission member, raised concern:

So when the taps run dry up the road, the servers stay hydrated.

Priorities.

The buyers, naturally, would prefer you not know who they are.

The companies behind the projects have not been publicly identified.

Secret companies. Public water. A drought. What could possibly go sideways?

Local government’s one job is to keep the water on for the people who live there. Sinton looked at its last-ditch reserve, the one labeled *break glass in case of emergency*, and broke the glass for a server farm.

The drought is the emergency. They sold the cure to the thing that doesn’t sweat.

On June 3rd, USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins and the Texas Animal Health Commission confirmed the first U.S. screwworm case in livestock in over forty years, a little baby calf outside La Pryor, in Zavala County, being eaten alive through an open wound. Thirty miles from the Mexican border that is, these days, more of a polite suggestion.

For the uninitiated: the New World screwworm lays its eggs in the open wounds of living animals, and the larvae eat their way in. Cattle, deer, your dog, occasionally you. We wiped it out in 1966. We are now, somehow, un-wiping it due to uninvited guests crossing the border. Many such cases.

THE MATH

Texas runs a $15 billion cattle industry. USDA says the worm could chew through $1.8 billion of it; Texas Parks & Wildlife puts the combined livestock-and-hunting hit at $2.1 billion. Cattle futures jumped on the news, because traders, unlike Greg, can read a map.

The fix is the same trick that beat this bug in ‘66: flood the zone with sterilized flies until the wild ones can’t breed. Containment needs about 300 million a week. Texas is getting four million.

Matt Coday, President of Oil & Gas Workers Association has a warrant out for his arrest for refusing to answer in court ordered discovery related to a defamation lawsuit he’s currently facing:

“Defendants Oil and Gas Workers Association Inc. and Matthew Coday failed to comply in good faith with Plaintiff’s discovery requests. Accordingly, Plaintiff respectfully requests that Defendants be ordered and compelled to provide responses to said discovery requests,” Dunn’s motion says.

The discovery request seeks extensive information regarding the inner workings at OGWA, including board meetings, financial records, and communications.

With two of Coday’s lawsuits now thrown out under the Texas Citizen Participation Act, he faces mounting attorney fees and court costs, and has begun using OGWA’s nonprofit platform to solicit donations toward his expanding legal tab.

This operation was the brainchild of convicted vote fraudster Zul Mohamed, whose name is similar to the villain in “Ghostbusters.”

Texas Scorecard:

In 2024, Zul Mohamed pleaded guilty to more than 100 felony counts of voter fraud in his failed 2020 campaign for Carrollton mayor. A jury sentenced him to four years in state prison while agreeing with his attorney that Mohamed is mentally ill.

While at the rally, Current Revolt spoke with Mohamed over the phone who said he wasn’t holding a rally and was just planning on speaking at the Frisco City Council meeting. Mohamed told Current Revolt that people misunderstood his post and that he wasn’t holding any sort of event.

This directly contradicted the post on his Facebook where it specifically says he’s holding an “Rally Against Rednecks.”

Mohamed eventually showed up and began calling everyone losers:

Candidate Staffer and Volunteers Try to Force Emergency Meeting to Force County GOP to Endorse Their Candidate

A group of Rod Vilhauer’s Frisco mayoral campaign staff and volunteers, who also serve as Collin County Republican Party (CCRP) precinct chairs, attempted to pressure the CCRP into holding a meeting to endorse their candidate.

CCRP Chairman Byron Henry sent out the following announcement addressing the attempted “fraudulent” meeting:

The staffers and volunteers decided to attempt to host the meeting anyway, which triggered a filing for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against the staffers and volunteers which was granted by the court:

Vilhauer staff and volunteers attempted to dissolve the TRO yesterday morning. The court denied the motion and the TRO remained in place.

Precinct chairs Rachel Elliott, and Herblin were both paid thousands of dollars by Vilhauer, who then in turn attempted to force the unscheduled CCRP meeting to endorse the guy they were working for:

This business of SREC, Precinct Chairs, and other party-connected individuals working or volunteering for candidates seems like a gross conflict of interest. Until the party decides to address this issue, it will continue being a problem.

Travis County Democrats Have Buyer’s Remorse Over Their Felon Chair

The Travis County Democrat Party elected a transgender chair with a criminal record and now they want a do-over.

Jessica Cohen was born Steven William Hurwitz, yet official state records say “female.”

So a person was sworn into county party leadership on an identity that doesn’t match their birth certificate. That’s about as progressive as it gets.

The Austin Bulldog:

The Democratic Party’s new Travis County leader is facing a crisis of confidence. Jessica Elizabeth Cohen, 54, has been in office less than six weeks. But her extensive criminal past has set off alarm bells.

She also slashed a woman. Who was black. In the face.

Mayfield was the victim of felony aggravated assault on February 17, 1990. Mayfield said her assailant pointed a gun at her head, called her a nigger, threatened to kill her, and slashed her face with a knife. Steven William Hurwitz (Jessica Cohen’s name before gender transition) then age 18, was sentenced to deferred adjudication, ordered to serve 90 days in jail and 10 years on probation, perform 240 hours of community service, and avoid Mayfield. His probation was terminated October 17, 1995.

The precinct chairs are revolting it would seem.

The Bulldog also pulled the driving record of Mx. Cohen, which is best described as a body of work.

This is the same Democrat Party preparing to launch James Talarico into a U.S. Senate race on the theological premise that God is, in fact, transgender.

Doubling down on weird is one way to describe it.

Republicans just gotta vote in November! Never mind that the voter rolls list men as women – that’s a tiny error. Once the vote is routed through closed-source voting software, the results are guaranteed to be accurate.

It’s actually kind of poetic how Democrats elected the felon, vetted the felon, sat next to the felon at meetings, and only checked the criminal record after the gavel was already in her hand.

The party of believing women just stopped believing one of their own!

HB 2038 Update: How Many “Qualified” Foreign Doctors Have Fake Degrees?

Texas spent 2025 quietly opening the door to foreign doctors who never have to pass an American residency. The pitch was that these are “qualified” professionals coming to save rural Texas with amazing healthcare, with 224 of Texas’ 254 counties eligible to fast track foreign doctors from wherever!

It was a terrible sales pitch. There was even a Freudian slip in the rollout that gave us a good LOL.

Did you know India recently seized 100,000 forged certificates in a single bust?

You may have missed it.

HB 2038 sailed through the Legislature and onto the governor’s desk last year, sold as a fix for the doctor shortage in rural Texas counties. Again, the absurdity of the scheme cannot be understated - flood the rural parts of the state with physicians trained somewhere you’ve never heard of, skip the residency Americans must do, and call it compassion.

A “qualified doctor,” they kept saying.

About that.

India Today:

A massive fake university certificate racket uncovered by Kerala Police has triggered a political firestorm in Australia. An Australian senator has accused Prime Minister Antony Albanese’s government of failing to act against foreign students allegedly using purchased degrees to study and work in Australia.

Senator Malcolm Roberts, known for alleging degree rackets in Indian universities, has linked the Kerala bust to what he claims are systemic failures in Australia’s student visa enforcement.

Kerala Police last month dismantled a sprawling pan-Indian network that produced and distributed forged university certificates, including foreign degrees. Mathrubhumi reported that at least 11 people were arrested across multiple Indian states, and investigators said the racket might have supplied fraudulent documents to more than 10 lakh individuals nationwide.

The case has drawn sharp attention in Australia, where Senator Malcolm Roberts has linked the Kerala bust to what he claims are systemic failures in Australia’s student visa enforcement. In a post on X, Roberts cited the recent seizure of around 100,000 forged certificates and claimed that more than one million may have been used for jobs overseas.

Read that part twice.

Now ask yourself where “overseas” is. Australia caught it. The story created, in India Today’s words, a “political firestorm” in Australia because their leaders were forced to answer for who exactly they’d been credentialing.

We need Rep. Tom Oliverson at a podium explaining how Texas plans to tell a real degree from one of the 1,000,000 fakes a foreign cartel just printed.

The bust got almost zero coverage in the country actively passing laws to import the very people most likely to be holding a forged degree.

Wild.

Texas Finally Finds Something It Can Verify, Just Not What We Asked For

The state of Texas still can’t be bothered to figure out who’s actually living illegally in subsidized housing, who’s stealing public benefits, or which H-1B “companies” even exist.

But soon, they’re going to make sure 17-year-olds get parental approval to download the fart soundboard app.

The Texas Tribune:

Texas’s law requiring app marketplace operators like Google and Apple to verify all users’ ages and seek parental permission before minors can download apps or make in-app purchases can go into effect for now, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday.

That would be Senate Bill 2420, your Republican legislature’s latest five-second solution to a problem nobody asked them to solve this way. The bill orders Apple and Google to verify the age of every user, demand parental consent before someone under 18 can install anything, and require every app developer to rate their apps in one of four state-approved age categories. I’m sure they thought very hard about those categories.

A federal judge in Austin had this to say about the fun new law:

The Act is akin to a law that would require every bookstore to verify the age of every customer at the door and, for minors, require parental consent before the child or teen could enter and again when they try to purchase a book.

They tell you Texas requires a photo ID to vote. It doesn’t, really. There’s a sworn-statement exception you can sign with a utility bill in hand. The photo ID law is there to make you feel good. Meanwhile the closed-source machines counting the ballots — apparently, that is too complex and technical to regulate for Republicans.

So voting, like millions of illegal aliens everywhere, the state can’t manage to get a handle on. But that podcast app on your phone? That is getting verified without exception.

How will they verify your age? Lawmakers didn’t say! It’s left up to big tech to surprise us with their latest “mandated” intrusion into your privacy. To protect the children, of course.

Controversy has surrounded the James Talarico campaign amid allegations that he is gay, a vegan, and other unverified rumors.

Recently, the San Antonio Current interviewed Talarico, in which he stated that he is in a committed relationship with a woman he has been dating for the past four years. According to Talarico, he met this woman while she was serving as his Chief of Staff.

San Antonio Current:

Talarico’s campaign said he met his girlfriend when she was the Chief of Staff in his Texas House legislative office, and that they’ve been together for four years. After they developed feelings for each other, she left the office to pursue other opportunities and have been together ever since.

“We became best friends, and then we fell in love, and we’ve been together ever since,” he added.

Many people, including political pundits, have dismissed the veracity of the reporting, claiming that Talarico doesn’t actually have a girlfriend.

This is partially because the Current chose not to publish the name of Talarico’s girlfriend:

However, the San Antonio Current published the name of the woman romantically involved with Ken Paxton, Talarico’s opponent, it also published her age, the number of children she has, and details about her ex-husband:

A different outlet even chose to publish what they allege is the location of her home.

Current Revolt has obtained the name and details of James Talarico’s girlfriend as well as reached out to both her and the Talarico campaign for comment.

The woman, aged 30, previously

worked for Talarico as his chief of staff. Brianna Menard now serves as the Director of TEXPAC, a bipartisan political arm of the Texas Medical Association:

Menard, a registered lobbyist, previously served as a staffer for James Talarico, first as his Legislative Director and later as his Chief of Staff.

Menard also served as the Chief of Staff for Democratic House Representative Salman Bhojani during the 88th legislature.

Around the time the San Antonio Current published the article and podcast discussing Talarico’s relationship, Menard would delete her social media, including her Instagram and X accounts where Talarico regularly interacted with her.

Current Revolt reached out to Brianna Menard via phone, text, and email. She did not respond in time for publication.

Current Revolt also reached out to the Talarico campaign for comment on James Talarico’s relationship with Brianna Menard. The campaign referred all questions to the San Antonio Current article.

The interviewer goes on to ask if Talarico regrets describing or talking about God in that way. Talarico replies that he has made statements that he “regrets and have missed the mark” and admits he’s made “cringy” comments.

The interviewer also asks about a Talarico’s previous statements about there being six genders. Talarico responds by saying he knows there’s two genders and says the rest are “abnormalities.”

As Ken Paxton was preparing to take on James Talarico’s meatless campaign, many people were panicking.

Texas Picks Bo French Over Abbott, Patrick, and the Media

Final: French 50.7%, Wright 49.3%

Bo French won the Republican primary runoff for Texas Railroad Commissioner Tuesday night, kickig Jim Wright to the curb by about 18,000 votes in a race the establishment had no business losing

Wright had Gov. Greg Abbott. Wright had Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick. Wright had a $500k check from the very Miriam Adelson, $10,000 from Dallas real estate giant Harlan Crow, and the Texas Tribune describing French as a candidate “who has long made controversial, racist and antisemitic statements.”

The Tribune spent the week before the runoff reminding readers that French had once asked on social media whether Jews or Muslims posed a greater risk to the nation, that he had called for “the deportations of 100 million people” at a conservative conference this spring, and that he had told CPAC Texas the state should ban Islam because “it’s not a religion, it’s a governmental structure intent on overthrowing our constitution.”

This was supposed to be a warning. Voters apparently loved it.

Wright’s closing argument, per the Tribune, was that French was “campaigning on social issues, like the ‘Islamification’ of Texas — that the commission has no authority over.”

That was true Monday. But The Texas Railroad Commission is fixin’ to find some authority on Wednesday. Deal with it, homie.

Democrats Cry FOUL Alleging Election Interference

Democrat candidate for Lt. Governor is claiming a PAC is interfering in the Democratic primary runoff for Lt. Governor.

Documents circulated publicly this week describe a TMP-backed “civic education” program that paid participants $100 to attend classes promoting Rep. Goodwin’s opponent, while testing what the memo itself described as the “persuasive impact” of the program on voters.

“Texas Democrats deserve campaigns built on trust, transparency, and organizing, not billionaire-backed political experiments designed to shape voters behind the scenes,” said Rep. Goodwin. “In just a few days, we may find out whether TMP’s experiment to manipulate Democratic voters was successful.”

Rep. Goodwin also pointed to Texas Ethics Commission filings showing more than $500,000 in support for her opponent connected to TMP-backed efforts during the race.

The winner of the Democratic primary ruinoff for Lt. Governor would have to face Lt. Gov Dan Patrick.

Child Rapist Out Early for Good Behavior

Former Waco attorney Adam Hoffman was released early from jail after serving only 29 days for good behavior, following his guilty plea to sexually abusing a young boy over multiple years.

The initial please deal offered by the Texas Attorney General was for Hoffman to plead guilty to two Class A Misdemeanors and a recommended sentence of time served (therefore only 1 day in jail) plus he could keep his law license.

At sentencing in April, the Judge doubled the jail time to 60 days while keeping the other terms including no sex offender registration.

Controversy centered on Hoffman’s defense attorney, Gerry Morris, who also represented Attorney General Ken Paxton’s former business associate Nate Paul. Paul was a major donor and a central figure in the failed impeachment trial of Paxton. Many people are saying that Morris’s connection to Paxton helped secure a lenient plea deal.

According to court records, Hoffman repeatedly raped and showed pornography to a young boy for several years when the boy was only 6 years old.

Texas City Solves Water Crisis by Arresting People Who Mention It

A Henderson County grand jury declined to indict Jennifer Combs on Thursday, and a Trinidad municipal judge dismissed disorderly-conduct charges against Winston Noles on the same day. Both had been arrested for talking in public about the City of Trinidad’s water.

Trinidad City Hall responded by closing for several days.

City leaders admit there’s a water issue that’s been going on for years, but Chief of Police Charles Gregory says no one has been hospitalized and in a social media post of his own said Combs’ post ‘creates fear, panic, or unnecessary emergency response within a community.

The police department charged her with felony false alarm or report.

Combs, who says she was simply trying to investigate, maintains people have reported hospitalization, and the mayor says he’s at least seen social media posts claiming the same.

Some guy then showed up to the police station to make fun of the police for arresting her. They then arrested him!

Just 4 weeks ago, the city issued a boil notice to residents because the water may have been unsafe to drink.

Apparently talking about it is the real crime. The mayor, also via FOX 4, conceded he had “at least seen social media posts” alleging the water had made people sick.

A grand jury no-billed Combs and the judge tossed the case against blue shirt-man, Winston Noles.

We decided to do some advanced monitoring of the water situation in Trinidad, Texas. Like so many water systems in Texas, many people are saying it’s quite bad.

• The most recent free chlorine residuals in Trinidad’s distribution system were 0.07 and 0.09 mg/L — both below the 0.2 mg/L state legal minimum. Sampled April 29, 2026 at 2 Jay St. and 604 Lawrence.

• Four straight quarters above the federal limit for Total Trihalomethanes, a probable human carcinogen (This is from over-chlorinating LOL)

• August 1, 2023: E. coli positive in Trinidad’s drinking-water distribution system. Plus 15 other total coliform positives across the system’s history. E. coli is the marker for fecal contamination.

• Lead and Copper Rule monitoring violation, October – November 2025: status “Unaddressed.” Trinidad not even bothering with lead and copper testing as required.

• Eight of the last twelve quarters in noncompliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act — three with “significant violations” — and 36 informal enforcement actions from TCEQ in four years!

• A $3,877 TCEQ agreed-order penalty in October 2024 (Docket 2023-1476-PWS-E), followed by a State Compliance Order with penalty in December 2024.

• Trinidad’s wastewater treatment plant is currently in Significant Noncompliance. EPA records show E. coli effluent at 226% over the permitted limit. (Whoops!)

• The mayor told FOX 4 some of Trinidad’s water pipes date to the 1950s. (common in Texas)
