Jason Riggs was arrested on September 15th and charged with terroristic threats related to his posts on X. The alleged posts targeted Texas State Rep. Jeff Leach, Rep. Lacey Hull, Florida Congressional Candidate Mark Davis, their families, as well as other individuals.

Current Revolt reached out to Rep. Jeff Leach for comment. He directed all questions to the Texas Department of Public Safety (TX DPS).

Recent Scandals

Both Paxton and Talarico have had scandals hit recently, that don’t seem to be moving the needle but are entertaining nonetheless.

Paxton:

According to recent reporting by MaryAnn Martinez, Ken Paxton was reported to London Police after being caught on camera running around with his new girlfriend.

Daily Mail:

An American tourist has accused US Senate candidate Ken Paxton of lunging at him and trying to snatch his phone after he filmed the Texas Attorney General walking with his lover in London.

The man, who exclusively spoke to Daily Mail so long as we not name him or his wife, said he reported the alleged confrontation to London’s Metropolitan Police after it unfolded on Westminster Bridge, close to the London Eye, on July 1.

Paxton being caught gallivanting around London with his new girlfriend hardly surprises anyone, although it’s funny that he tried to stop the tourist by grabbing for his phone.

The Daily Mail has no updates on whether charges will be filed or if the London Police will take any action.

‘Were you filming me back there?’ Paxton allegedly demanded.

‘And I said, “Yes, I was.” And he said, “You can’t do that,”’ the tourist told the Daily Mail.

‘I stopped because I was just hot, and I said, “I can absolutely film you. You’re a public figure in a public place, and I can film you all I want.”

‘Now we’re facing each other and he’s mad, and he says, “Let me see what you filmed,” and he lunged for my phone,’ according to the tourist.

He claims the encounter then descended into a heated public confrontation, with Paxton repeatedly demanding his phone as he tried to move away.

‘He says, “You can’t do that. Let me have your phone. I want your phone,” and then at this point it’s a confrontation,’ he added.

‘He’s yelling at me, and I’m telling him to back off. He lunged at the phone a second time and tried to force it from me.’

Talarico:

Do either of these scandals move the needle for voters? Unlikely.

I believe most voters have already decided who they’re voting for, or not voting for, at this point. GOTV seems like the most important thing campaigns are concerned about.

Frisco has been a hotbed for influencers who show up to make quick viral videos of themselves ranting in city council meetings to post on social media. Most of these videos address the actual serious issue surrounding Frisco regarding the recent demographic change. However, these influencers oftentimes seem more interested in going viral for money and clicks than having real solutions to the problem.

The newest influencer in Frisco seems to be a former Panera Bread employee going by the name “Cody Highroller.”

Cody Highroller, whose real name is Cody Warren, decided to just show up at a Frisco City Council meeting, rant about immigration and then tell the mayor to go f*ck himself.

The Feds Shut Down 14 Texas Truck Schools

at reported on the feds shutting down 110 commercial driver’s license training centers:

On the last day of August, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced the emergency shutdown of 110 commercial driver’s license (CDL) training providers throughout the United States, saying they were associated with more than 5,000 drivers who failed to show proficiency in English. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) maintains a database of registered CDL training providers, as well as those that have been removed.

What nobody has reported is what it did to Texas.

Texas had 14 truck-driving companies shut down, the most of any state alongside Pennsylvania. Between them they ran 18 training yards, more than any state in the country. Two weeks later the feds came back and killed three more Texas locations, all belonging to one San Antonio company.

Cornyn Attacks Own Base For Indians, Endorses Democrat?

Early this week, soon-to-be ex-Senator John Cornyn lead the pro-India version of a BLM march online. While some were worried about how this could affect moderate voters, the base was peeved at backstabbing by those supposed to uphold their interests.

Now, Cornyn doubled down on his desire to erase Texas. He shared an article from the milquetoast “National Review” claiming that being a “Heritage American” (i.e. someone whose family long had roots here) is “overrated”. In a nutshell, Cornyn actively cheers on normal Texans being replaced en masse:

Townhall just got the statewide version on undercover video, from the organizing manager of Texas Majority PAC, the Democrat machine trying to elect James Talarico:

“We are paying people $25 to attend a one-hour Zoom class to learn why voting is important and why the Republicans are causing all of these bad things,” McAdams says in the undercover video. “So it’s like a roundabout way of paying people for their votes, essentially.”

His name is Sky McAdams. He’s a paid organizer and unpaid whistleblower. He calls it a “paid relational program.” He also calls it “a little gray.” LOL

In Zapata, the affidavit calls it “compensating individuals to interact with voters in the presence of their official ballot,” and the cops show up with a warrant. Apparently, Zoom is a weird trick workaround in the law.

Fun fact: Texas Majority PAC is Soros money. George Soros has given it $7.45 million in his own name, and the PAC has paid Relentless $718,450 this year for the Zoom classes. It also sent $400,000 to Relentless’s own PAC, which paid $388,000 of it right back to Relentless three weeks later.

McAdams’ own take on the Democrat strategy: “If I was a Republican, I would be pissed. I would be like, that’s shady as f**k.”

The City of Carrollton actually sent over their Flock contract as well as other documents for a total of 228MB of data. An analysis by Tommy Paine says:

605 organizations sit on Carrollton PD’s Flock sharing list. 154 Lowe’s parking lots feed straight into the cops’ search screen. Home improvement is heavily monitored, but not for illegal aliens, only us suspicious Americans with driver’s licenses. Then there’s 22 Academy stores, a Sheraton, and HOAs you’ve never heard of. Police in 21 other states share their cameras with Carrollton. 485 Texas agencies get Carrollton’s data feed back, including DPS and the state prison system. There’s even a network named for a private Christian school. This is all just the access map. The log of who actually searched is still coming.

Unfortunately, the City of Carrollton wants $180 to provide all the emails from Flock to the city.

Reader and patriot Justin H. requested the Flock documents from The City of Bedford.

Bedford turned over several documents totaling 37 MB of data. Tommy Paine’s analysis of the Bedford data:

Bedford handed over the contracts, the policies, and the council file, but not where the cameras are. Their excuse is an AG letter from an earlier records request, and the letter itself says right on the last page not to treat it as precedent for any other request. Whoops!

Then there’s how they shop for this spy system. To skip competitive bidding, Bedford certified that only Flock could do the job, on a recycled copy of last year’s form, dated a week after the purchase order, with Flock’s sales bullets copied off the CEO’s own letter. Whoops!

Asked if competing products exist, the city wrote one word. No. But of course, sitting in the same stack of records is a 2023 agreement Bedford signed for free trial gear from Axon, a company that sells license plate readers. Bedford’s own records office labeled it an ALPR trial. The city signed for a competitor’s equipment, then certified competitors of Flock don’t exist.

The next $223,500 sailed through on consent agendas with no discussion recorded in the minutes the city released.

But wait, there’s more!

Unfortunately, the City of Bedford is requesting $1,839 to get the rest:

Keller came back asking for clarification, the reader tells us. We haven’t seen Keller’s letter yet, but we’ve seen this movie before. Carrollton tried the same thing but folded five days after we answered it in writing.

Colleyville lawyered up, then they put up a paywall and asked for $11,826!

The request dies in ten business days unless the reader pays up, narrows the request, or takes the city to the Attorney General over the insane price.

Colleyville says they have over 26,000 emails between themselves and Flock. That’s more than the entire population of Colleyville!

Drew Darby, 79, has entered the chat with the most boomer take imaginable, telling French to delete the post and pretend nothing is happening.

A few days before all this went down, the Fifth Circuit quietly killed a law that gave illegal aliens in-state tuition at schools like the University of Texas. A law those same “anti-racist” Republicans had twelve chances to repeal and never once voted on.

The Legislature passed it in 2001, calling it the “Dream Act,” with Charlie Geren among the yes votes. Then TWELVE Republican sessions of nothing.

It died on June 4, 2025, when the Justice Department sued Texas and Ken Paxton agreed the same afternoon.

Judge Irma Ramirez:

Six hours after the United States sued the State of Texas, the district court entered a consent judgment invalidating the 25-year-old Texas Dream Act

Six hours for the lawyers. Twelve sessions for our ultra-conservative Texas Legislature.

In 2025 Jared Patterson filed HB 1815 and Jeff Leach filed HB 2535 to repeal it. Neither got a hearing.

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick actually said it out loud: “I’m glad AG Paxton settled this lawsuit after session because it immediately bans in-state tuition for illegal immigrants, rather than having to wait for legislation to go into effect.”

Thank goodness a judge handled it so none of these staunch conservatives had to figure out how to avoid another vote.

Limp Hippy Returns with Lawsuit Against Tim O’Hare

The limp hippy is BACK. Last month he went down on the Commissioners Court floor like a raw piece of sausage. This month he has four lawyers.

Former state Rep. Lon Burnam is suing Tarrant County Judge Tim O’Hare and Tarrant County over criminal trespass restrictions that prohibit Burnam from attending future Commissioners Court meetings.

Burnam refused to leave voluntarily and went limp when authorities tried to remove him, which the lawsuit describes as “nonviolent resistance.”

Lon Burnam is 73, a Democrat, and a coauthor of the 2001 Dream Act you just read about. He signed on March 15, 2001 and he’s been going limp for Texas ever since.

A Facebook post by Democrat Clayton Tucker published by his campaign yesterday shows a screenshot of an Edge browser screen and a social media dashboard. In the browser tabs above, it not only shows that Tucker is using ChatGPT to generate AI slop Labor Day images but also shows a tab for the bible verse Colossians 1:28.

Possibly not so coincidentally, Republican Ag Commissioner Sid Miller posted a “bible verse of the day” that contained the exact same verse Democrat Clayton Tucker had in the browser tab of his social media post.

Additionally, both candidates posted ChatGPT generated AI slop Labor Day photos that are nearly identical in design:

Current Revolt reached out to staff of Sid Miller as well as Democrat candidate Clayton Tucker directly to inquire about the images as well as ask if they are sharing any staff, vendors, or volunteers. Neither campaign responded.

Sid Miller may be suffering from the largest documented #BUTTHURTTXLEGE in Texas history as he lost the Republican Primary race for Ag Commissioner to Nate Sheets.

Since losing, Miller has refused to endorse Sheets, has refused to correct the record after Democrat Clayton Tucker said in an interview that Miller had endorsed him, has publicly spoken against Sheets on social media, and has done political events with Tucker.

Current Revolt will be on site both days (Wednesday and Thursday) and covering planned protests by leftist groups after the city canceled their permits. Leftist protest leaders say they’ll still march regardless.

Dallas Observer:

According to an email obtained by the Observer, officials in the Office of Special Events canceled a permit application Tuesday afternoon for an anti-Trump march planned near the American Airlines Center. A Dallas Police Department spokesperson confirmed in an emailed statement Wednesday morning that the city had canceled the permit.

Rick Majumdar, another lead organizer with DATA, said the group will engage DPD, but if that process breaks down, “the city or the cops can’t say we didn’t try,” he wrote in a text.

Hargis said the march will still take place, regardless of whether or not the city gives its blessing.

Socialist Hasan Piker to Speak at UT Austin

Hasan Piker, a socialist Twitch streamer who is more commonly known as “Cenk Uygur’s Nephew”, is speaking at a University of Texas at Austin event hosted by the University Democrats.

Austin American-Statesman:

Adit Raha, the president of the University Democrats, told the Statesman that the “vast majority” among the students are “very supportive” of the event.

“A few online trolls who thrive off of hate do not represent the views of the thousands of students at UT who believe that the status quo of American and Texas politics is simply not good enough,” Raha said.

Piker is well known for several controversies:

• In 2019 Piker said “America deserved 9/11” which he later said was inappropriate. He received a one-week ban from Twitch.

• In another Twitch stream, Piker said that “the streets should soak in their red capitalist blood” when referring to landlords. Piker would later say he was being hyperbolic.

• In 2025, Piker said that if Republicans really cared about Medicare fraud they “would kill Rick Scott.” He also claimed he was just being hyperbolic.

• Recently, Piker went viral when many suspected he used a shock collar during a livestream to force his dog to bed. Piker said it was just a vibration collar.

A group of American influencers received an all-expenses-paid trip to Poland. Included in the group were Texas independent journalists who, when asked who or what group paid for the overseas trip, refused to answer.

Why does disclosure of gifts matter for a journalist? Journalists disclosing the gifts, favors, fees, travel, or special treatment they receive in exchange for the work they’ve done is a common practice, something done even by auto journalists. Free/gift trips are actually banned outright by most news outlets.

Independent journalists, like Sarah Fields, have often spoke out against influencers not being transparent about who is funding them:

The Poland Trip

The trip to Poland began in mid-August, with one of the first stops being an organized dinner with Polish politician Dominik Tarczynski.

Dominik Tarczyński is a politician who has served as a Member of the European Parliament since 2020. He is a well-known Polish conservative who frequently uses the slogan “Be like Poland.”

Throughout their trip, the influencers and journalists would all use the same phrase of “be like Poland” in their posts. Those on the trip stated multiple times that they were not told what to post:

Afterwards the group was given private tours to multiple historical sites in Poland.

Fields, a self-described journalist, as well as several others on the trip, later showed off hats leaning into the recent claim that influencers were being paid $7,000 to push specific content:

Attempted Cover Up?

Maddy Delia, known as “ThatOpinionatedGirl” on Instagram and “ThatZionistGirl” on X, reached out to say that the right-wing political group Confederation Liberty and Independence (CLI) had funded their trip:

Current Revolt reached out to CLI who stated they knew nothing of the influencers or the Poland trip and asked for information on the influencers and their posts.

Delia did not respond to a follow-up inquiry regarding CLI’s response.

Additionally, the influencers on the trip went so far as to orchestrate a fake group chat that spelled out: "T O N Y I S G A Y" and fed the chat to Current Revolt:

Two journalists attended the paid-for Poland trip:

Lance Johnston, also known as LanceVideos, is/was a member of the Pentagon Press Corps.

When reached for comment, Johnston told Current Revolt the following:

“I’m not disclosing Poland. Because it doesn’t matter. We weren’t asked to make content. No contract said we had to and we weren’t paid.”

In a now-deleted X post, Johnston stated that he is not renewing his Pentagon press credentials which he states are expired.

A later review of Johnston’s social media posts show that Johnston updated the original captions on his photos to include disclosure and explanation of the trip:

Current Revolt also reached out to independent journalist Sarah Fields about the trip. Instead of responding directly, Fields posted her answers on X and also revealed that Maccabee Task Force funded the trip. You can read CR’s questions to Fields and her full response here:

For those who don’t have the time to read Fields drawn-out response, here’s a brief summary:

• Fields claims there was no secrecy surrounding the trip. She said she was only hiding who funded the trip specifically from Current Revolt.

  • Editor’s Note: This doesn’t make sense seeing as everyone involved in the Poland trip was hiding who funded it. With one person even giving false information.

• Fields says she didn’t want to disclose due to risk of harassment and being doxed.

  • Editor’s Note: It is interesting that Fields is concerned about doxing considering she falsely doxed the wrong woman in at least two stories she covered. You can read Fields’ history of shoddy reporting here:

• Fields mentions she had posted on Facebook that she was going to Poland for “work” but says the post was “old” and claims she did go for work since she was “writing” (tweeting) while she was in Poland.

• Fields says that journalistic ethics regarding disclosure of this all-expenses-paid trip to Poland do not apply to her since she wasn’t asked for anything in return by those who funded it.

• Fields questions whether Current Revolt even bothered to reach out to anyone else for comment.

The line between independent journalist and influencer continues to get murkier as their followings grow. Influencers have no code of ethics dictating whether they should disclose paid promotions or gifts. Journalists, however, have long had a code of ethics requiring them to disclose gifts they receive for the work they’ve done.

This last weekend, Austin Mayor Kirk Watson posted an update where he did a photo op at a North Austin Muslim Community Center distributing free groceries. The photos on X seem drastically different than what was posted by the Muslim Community Center on Instagram.

In a video posted by Lone Star Legionaires on X, a Texas Imam states on record that his mosque has hosted CAIR.

He then goes on to state that Governor Greg Abbott has no authority to designate CAIR as a terrorist organization.

CAIR has been in the news quite a bit recently. Earlier this week they were banned from hosting an event at Southern Methodist Univeristy.

A local mosque actively hosting a terrorist organization and boasting about it seems like a rather large spit in the face to Texans.

YouTuber Reckless Ben is having one hell of a year exposing all kinds of bizarre and suspicious operations, and his latest work has quite the fun Texas twist.

Ben’s story starts with a former senior employee of a California company called Ideal Living, saying it solely exists to fund a Hindu sect whose “living god” was accused of rape on two continents without ever being convicted. Their massive temple outside Austin, TX was built by a swami that a Hays County jury convicted on 20 counts of child molestation.

Of course the swami child molester escaped, fleeing the country under mysterious circumstances.

In Ben’s second video on this rabbit hole, the anonymous guy claims that Democrat activists in Texas helped him escape! It’s a claim with no evidence, but do you really need any?

You can laugh yourself to sleep tonight knowing that the story ends by circling back to Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, who personally went to the temple in his first term as Mayor to dedicate the alleged Diddler Palace, welcoming this strange new cult to Texas just weeks after September 11, 2001. Watson “expressed his gratitude to His Divinity Swami Prakashanand Saraswati.” To be fair, this was before he did the rape-and-escape. Nobody could have predicted it.

SMU has confirmed that it will not permit a Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium organized by the Texas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to be held on campus.

The local chapter of the Muslim civil rights and advocacy group had advertised the Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium on its website as an opportunity for high school students and rising college freshmen and sophomores to spend “a full day focused on leadership and civic engagement.”

The organization advertised simultaneous Dallas and Houston events scheduled for Sept. 19. The Dallas event was set to be held at SMU, according to a flyer posted by CAIR Texas.

SMU officials said in a statement that “after reviewing plans for an upcoming unaffiliated youth leadership symposium advertised to take place at SMU, the University has determined that permitting the event to take place on campus, given the State of Texas’ current designation of the symposium’s organizer, is inconsistent with our mission and related University policies. As a result, the event will not take place on campus.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott designated CAIR as a foreign terrorist organization last year. CAIR has rejected the designation and challenged it legally.

While SMU confirmed that the event won’t be held on campus, officials added in a statement that the university “welcomes a wide range of organizations and perspectives to campus as part of our commitment to open inquiry and the free exchange of ideas.”

The video, via Midwest Safety on Youtube, shows the beginning of the attack on the facility as well as footage of one Antifa terrorist attempting to flee in a van filled with firearms and body armor.

Benjamin Song, the leader of the terrorist group, was well known in north Texas as someone who often provided armed security for drag queen shows targeted towards children. Song was sentenced to 100 years in federal prison.

Sam Aly is a Pflugerville man and our hero in today’s story. He asked his city for the logs of its 28 spy cameras. Six months of records came back, and Sam did the unthinkable. He read them!

Pflugerville police searched their own system 5,078 times, but outside agencies searched it 1,597,918 times! Many people are saying that’s a lot of searches.

City leaders believed sharing was limited to about 80 approved partners. The city later admitted more than 400 agencies got in and only 83 had permission. Flock will tell you a “search” doesn’t prove anyone actually pulled a Pflugerville plate. But does anyone care at this point? Who still supports building this enslavement surveillance grid in 2026? Apparently, not too many people after they look at data instead of the marketing.

Council Member Jonathan Coffman checked Aly’s math against the data and posted it on a Monday night.

By Tuesday afternoon the mayor had staff do a “bag and tag” of all 28 cameras. Literal plastic bags over those stupid lenses. Then, the police chief said this about the mass surveillance tool:

The council killed the $175,000 renewal unanimously.

Fun fact: the contract had already expired on July 31. The cameras kept running through the “negotiations,” because of course they did.

The school district then pulled Flock’s spy cameras off its campuses. And on Friday, Governor Abbott ordered state agencies to stop funding Flock, right as the Texas Tribune revealed that a fee on every Texas auto insurance policy bought $30 million of these spy sticks!!!

But here’s the thing, this guy Sam has got an Open Records Request that’s going to fix everything.

Flock’s response, in its own words: statewide sharing had been switched on for Pflugerville since 2024, two out-of-state agencies were “mistakenly categorized as Texas agencies,” and:

Ok so, guilty. Noted.

This is happening everywhere people bother to look into these surveillance devices. In Wisconsin, A Flock rep told the city council heat maps of your movements were “not available.” The next morning the police chief checked and said,

“My staff advised me that the system does create heat maps. I visually confirmed this this morning.”

The council voted to cancel Flock 7-0 within 24 hours. Flock then blamed “activists.” LOL!

3. Any City or Police Department policy or procedure governing use of the Flock/ALPR system, including data retention settings.

4. Any data-sharing agreements or records showing which outside agencies (local, state, or federal) can access the City’s Flock data, and whether the City participates in Flock’s statewide or national lookup network.

5. Any requests from outside agencies or 3rd parties to access the city’s flock data and whether it was provided.

6. Emails between City officials or employees and anyone with an @flocksafety.com email address, from January 1, 2022 to present.

7. Records of any free trials, pilot programs, or demo equipment provided by Flock to the City.

8. The number and locations of Flock cameras deployed by the City (locations may be redacted if needed).

9. Any council agenda items, staff reports, or presentations about approving or renewing a Flock contract.
