Bodycam Footage Released of Mass Shooting at Allen Outlet Mall

Bodycam footage has been released of the mass shooting event at the Allen Outlet Mall from May 6th.

The video begins with an officer having a friendly conversation with a family. He then hears gunshots, immediately grabs his rifle and runs towards the sound of the gunfire.
With no information on the number of shooters or what type of danger he is running towards, he runs almost half a mile from one side of the outlet mall to the other.
He then engages the mass shooter, firing multiple rounds and successfully takes down the gunman.
The shooter was identified as Mauricio Garcia; he murdered 8 people and wounded 7 others.

Reminds me of how thankful I am for the police that protect us and for this officer in particular. That was a very emotional video to see. Even though that officer was RIGHT THERE it is a reminder that if he wasn’t there many more would have died. You must have armed citizens and you can’t rely on police alone.
