A headline you never expected to read.
The state of Texas filed a lawsuit last week against Colony Ridge citing “predatory” land sales and accused the developer of defrauding buyers.
What’s more interesting is that this lawsuit mostly mirrors that of a lawsuit filed by the Biden Administration back in December of last year.
Many of the state’s allegations mirror federal ones that Biden administration-led agencies filed on December 20, 2023, in an 11-count civil rights complaint. The federal civil charges seeking payback damages allege that since at least 2016, the Harris brothers ran a large-scale “illegal land sales scheme” predicated on “predatory” and false advertising that tricked tens of thousands of Latinos into buying do-it-yourself, flooding-prone home building lots despite extremely high interest, foreclosure, and property-flipping rates.
We’ve covered Colony Ridge extensively since early last year. In fact, we were one of the first to bring attention to it.
Is a Big Abbott Donor Running an Illegal Alien Colony?
One of the crazier things we discovered:
Yes, you read that right, the owner of Colony Ridge gave Texas Governor Greg Abbott $1.4 million.
AG Paxton’s lawsuit goes into some pretty interesting detail about the deceptive practices at Colony Ridge, even citing employees who stated they were instructed to “avoid selling to consumers who can speak English or do not appear to be of Latino or Hispanic heritage.”
The lawsuit is 48 pages long, and it’s quite an interesting read if you have time.

The bigger question is: Who takes over once the developers are thrown in jail? Does the state own it? Does Tyson Foods come in and buy it and then hire all the Hispanics living there? Can we crowdfund to purchase it?
Colony Ridge is not the only subdivision that caters to illegals that do not ever get a clear title to any land---this is across TEXAS with barrios popping up as more invaders cross into this country.
