During an undercover investigation, deputies found [Rosita] Lira traveling around with undocumented migrants from Venezuela and had them doing work from sunup to sundown.
“And paid what amounts to slave wages, they’ve worked some of them for about a week, sunup to sundown they showed us their hands, their hands were all kinds of torn up, for having been forced into manual labor, and they were paid I think they were paid a total of maybe 100 dollars,” said Sheriff Salazar.
The boss lady had a whole crew with only $100 in overhead!

This Sheriff Salazar fellow is really off base. Dozens of dollars is hardly what we would call “slavery.” If we are going to redefine slavery, let’s just go ahead and say we are all debt slaves — which I’m told is infinitely better than when slavery was limited to only a few!
But if the United States is going to become a third world country, shouldn’t we get some third world benefits?
Inflation is breaking the backs of Texas workers, and one Texas woman dared to take a step in the direction of progress and pay third world wages to third world people.
Her family is giving interviews saying the Democrat poll worker’s “intentions were pure” with her Latino chain gang. I tend to agree.

Republicans better come up with a response to this budding young political talent out of San Antonio. Economists are already touting Rosita as “god-like” and “earth shattering” among economic theorists for her model.
The message seems to be resonating with Texas swing voters. GOP strategist Mack Mattodiak said white men in particular were strongly receiving the message, even forming a line around the block outside the Austin Headquarters of the Texas Democratic Party. “[Abolishing] the minimum wage is like a siren song issue for white men” Mattodick told Current Revolt.
