Looking at some bills:
The Good
Richard Hayes (R-HD57) introduced HB259 which seeks to chip away at illegal gun laws the government has gotten away with having.
Briscoe Cain (R-HD128) filed HB162 to ban “red-flag laws,” which refer to series of illegal laws passed by mostly Democrat governments.
The Bad
Democrats are against Texas enforcing federal immigration law against foreigners, but Democrat Terry Meza wants to enforce illegitimate federal gun laws against Texans! HB226 by Terry Meza (D-HD105) creates a criminal penalty for manufacturing a firearm without a federal license. (Community note: The Constitution bans license requirements for firearms.)
Ann Johnson (D-HD134) filed HB234 to create one of the aforementioned illegal red flag laws. Johnson also filed HB313, which would limit access to semiautomatic rifles for individuals under 21, with exemptions in certain random situations. (Community note: These are illegal under the Constitution.)
The Cozy
The indefatigable Steve Toth filed HB194, which would create faith-based child care facilities in Texas on-par with the soulless public schools. It’s going to be tricky to implement, but it’s worth it.

HB951 is seeking to implement closed primaries!
Don't we already have Christian daycares? So now Toth wants government Christian daycares? I'm confused.
