Republican Party of Texas Chairman Abraham George has once again proved he’s as tough as it gets on election fraud. The Chairman has consistently emphasized that adherence to legal requirements for seeking office is straightforward and a “simple issue.” Now the Curry Kid has put his foot down, but it’s only down because he’s about to put his boot up the ass of Randal County (Amarillo) GOP Chairman Kelly Giles.
All that is known for sure is that he provided “false information” on paperwork when he filed to run for County Chair, and that he has been indicted on felony charges for election fraud.
Chairman George swiftly sprang into action with this statement, ensuring that our election integrity will be upheld.
The County Chair is responsible for basically nothing, and is essentially a volunteer position.
Nobody seems to know exactly what is alleged to have happened with Kelly Giles, but many people are saying it might have had to do with his residency.
However, when George was presented evidence that then-candidate for Senate Brent Hagenbuch had lied bigger than Dallas on his filing paperwork to run for Texas Senate, George proceeded to act like it didn’t exist.
In fact, the last several years have seen a number of powerful people run for offices they legally and even constitutionally were prohibited from running for.
In the case of Hagenbuch, he registered to vote at his business address with the letters literally touching the instructions stating not to use your business address.
Less than a year before the election for Texas Senate, Hagenbuch changed his address to his business to try and establish residency in a new Senate District. Despite listing an office building as his home, it still was not within the 1 year timeframe required by the Texas Constitution for Senators. It’s not clear when he started living in the district, but no timeline or evidence has ever been presented demonstrating this was a legal run for office.
We have been monitoring the situation with “Senator-at-Large” Hagenbuch extensively over the years, as most readers are probably aware. Ortiz even went to his alleged home in the commercial office building.
Chairman George has led an escalating effort to remove "RINO" Republicans from the ballot through censures and procedural tactics. Under his administration, Republicans deemed insufficiently conservative face the prospect of being barred from running as party candidates. Nobody knows if this is legal, but they are threatening to do this.
However, the law provided a clear path for George to remove Hagenbuch from the General election ballot in 2024 for his fraudulent application. He declined to even recognize that any of it existed once he was elected State Chair.
In fact, we know George read the evidence against Hagenbuch.
There appears to be somewhat of a double standard from this Chairman on when these laws apply. When it comes to a nobody filling a volunteer role with no power—it’s a simple issue.
But when it comes to a Senator backed by the establishment? Well, apparently that’s not as simple.
Speaking of fraud, when do the 36 RINOS who elected Dusty who gave the Democrats control of the House get wiped from being able to run in the upcoming Republican primaries?
