Gulf Cartel Funded Democrat’s Campaign in Texas, Feds Say
Their aim was to “influence” our judicial system.
The drug smuggling operation of a very diverse drug mule went “up in smoke” after being sentenced to over 2 years in prison.
After being caught with 1,500 pounds of marijuana, a Starr County man was sentenced to more than 2 years in prison on Thursday.
Chief U.S. District Judge Randy Crane sentenced Adrean Espitia Garza, 26, of Rio Grande City to two years and six months in prison on Thursday morning.
“He was a delivery guy, so to speak,” said attorney Fabian Guerrero of McAllen, who represented Espitia. “A ‘transporter,’ they’re called.”
Espitia was arrested during Operation Ice River, which targeted a drug trafficking organization affiliated with the Gulf Cartel. Members of the organization smuggled marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine through Starr County from 2020 to 2023.
Ignacio “Nacho” Garza, 51, of Rio Grande City and Diego Alberto Reyes Roiz, 42, of Rio Grande City allegedly headed the organization.
They communicated with Gulf Cartel bosses in Camargo and Miguel Aleman, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Patricia Cook Profit, who summarized the case during a hearing in September 2021.
Needless to say, the border isn’t “more secure” than ever. Keep in mind, this is just what they found. Considering the present KNOWN 590,000+ illegal alien got-aways, there’s no telling how much really came across the Rio Grande.
Believe it or not, this case really does get worse.
Profit also said that Garza funded Starr County Justice of the Peace Roel “Role” Valadez Jr.’s campaign in 2018. Valadez won the Democratic Party primary and ran unopposed that November.
“Which the government believes was for purposes of having influence within the Starr County area,” Profit said. “Influence in terms of the judicial system.”
…
Valadez, meanwhile, was indicted on drug trafficking and money laundering charges. He pleaded not guilty and resigned.
After years of court proceedings, a Texas-based drug mule convicted of hopping back-and-forth across the border to flood America with drugs, employing proceeds to influence a local race, was finally sentenced. While it’s saddening courts take forever to convict and sentence, justice was surely done.
Yep, drug money is used to influence elections now. It’s not merely Brandon’s ballot-stuffing apparatus you need to confront, but also unknown amounts of donor money from cartel allies.
All that in perspective, it’s unsurprising there’s a high amount of Leftist DAs and “criminal justice reform” advocates letting psychopaths run wild. In the current phase of anarcho-tyranny, we’ll expect this to continue until subversives finally get purged Florida-style.
Seriously, how open is our border that these guys are bold enough to use a very noticeable horse trailer and truck to transport such a gigantic (and “skunky”) weed load?
During the investigation, federal agents conducted surveillance on a ranch near Rio Grande City High School.
On Aug. 6, 2021, agents watched a white Dodge truck enter the ranch. When the truck left the ranch, it was pulling a large cattle trailer.
Officers stopped the truck near George West.
They found Espitia behind the wheel — and more than 1,500 pounds of marijuana in the trailer.
In light of these circumstances, the border is quite open. Much of the Texas border is either wall-less, or “under contract,” meaning it may or may not be fortified. Despite such issues, the US Customs website still lists this as “new border wall system” despite it’s lack of completion; as you can see, the section of border utilized by the aforementioned transients is “under contract.”
Who knows how long it’ll take, especially if the Biden occupation government (BOG) treasonously keeps selling wall parts.
Needless to say, unless there’s finally an Israel-style border wall built and/or the Rio Grande is populated with piranhas, crocodiles, and hippos, expect the Camp of the Saints border horde invasion (along with drugs smuggled by criminal cohorts) to persist.
While we lack video of the encounter, here’s the closest enactment we could find; if we’re going to keep circling the toilet bowl (as America presently does), it’s understandable some seek to profit from impending collapse.
I don’t believe you guys. Dade Phelan and Greg Abbott told me the border was secure.
How many of our Tx legislators do the cartels own?
