BREAKING: White House Tells SREC Not To Remove Reps From Ballot
The SREC voted today to not remove any reps from the Republican ballot
The State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) met today to vote on censures for 10 Republican State Representatives.
Five reps were censured, five were not.
All of those censured avoided penalty #3 (ballot removal) despite the RPT and the SREC threatening removals most of the year.
At one point, in the middle of deliberation over whether to apply penalty #3 (ballot removal) to Rep. Jared Patterson, RPT Chairman George called for a recess and then said the SREC would go into executive session.
Sources tell us during executive session, White House Political Director Matthew Brasseaux called Chairman George and the call was put on speakerphone. Brasseaux told the SREC to not pass penalty #3 under threat of pulled donations and that President Trump’s legacy would be tarnished.
Current Revolt is told that many in the SREC were speechless and/or upset that the RPT was taking direction from The White House.
After this call, penalty #3 was later voted down by the SREC and Rep. Patterson avoided ballot removal.
No censure for the Cookie Monster?
This is why I only give directly to candidates I support.
RPT needs to get the primaries closed first. That action should help reduce the RINOs holding office.
