A consensus has formed, and the Texas political class has thrown its support behind a prolific new liar. Brent Hagenbuch appears to be capitalizing on the emerging lawlessness in America by running for elected office where the Constitution clearly prohibits him from doing so— then assuming nobody will do anything about it.
Hagenbuch recently appeared on the Mark Davis Show to talk about his devious plans to skirt the law, among other things.
Hagenbuch stated numerous times he was going to “stand with Abbott,” referring to Governor Greg Abbott, who has endorsed Hagenbuch. One would think that saying “stand with Abbott” over and over would constitute a gaff.
Supposedly Hagenbuch has moved out of his office and no longer sleeps in a cubicle, but no timeline is given that would make him eligible to run under the Texas Constitution, which requires a Senate candidate live in their district for one year prior to their election.
The Constitution appears to be a very low priority here.
He weasels around the topic, as if it’s silly to worry about things like the Constitution.
The Mark Davis Show:
He rambles nervously about how many endorsements he’s secured, but delivers no substance on anything, only repeating the talking points of those who endorsed him.
Mr. Hagenbuch’s residency and eligibility is just as ridiculous as putting transgenders at the top levels of the military, yet here we are—Hagenbuch’s pen brushed against the words prohibiting him from using his business address as his home address, but he did just that—put his business as his home address, listing a business park as his new “home” address in Senate District 30!
We visited the commercial office building where he claimed to reside.
VIDEO: Inside Brent Hagenbuch's Office "Residence" in SD30
Controversy continues to surrounded Brent Hagenbuch’s run for Senate District (SD) 30. The latest scandal comes with a litany of lawsuits stemming from allegations that Hagenbuch was untruthful when he claimed his primary residence to be a commercial office building in his filing paperwork. Critics allege Hagenbuch actually lives outside of SD 30 and is…
The lying and deception is out of control and he hasn’t even been elected yet. We can’t afford this.
Texas borders a territory with the most ruthless criminal gangs in the entire world. The people charged with stopping these waves of random people from disrupting our nation, namely Republican politicians, have been lying to us. They said they were taking measures to secure the border, when in fact they were doing nothing but tricking us.
Someone like Hagenbuch who is willing to be so confidently evasive in the face of an accusation where they are so obviously guilty makes him a blue chip prospect for donors in the political class. Hence we see Hagenbaugh’s getting all these endorsements, but getting zero percent in a straw poll.
Running a confidence game to get around the constitutional residency requirement has given Hagenbaugh a chance to show those in power that he willing to lie, cheat, and steal to serve the system. Anyone who will blow off the Constitution on day one is someone who will tell you the border is secure, when in fact it is not.
“Uhhh did Brent try to pull a “there you go again” on me?” - Mark Davis
Now it's "We" moved to Denton? So now we're supposed to believe Brent AND his wife were living in the cubicle at the office building? The lies keep coming. Where are the all the House Reps endorsements?
No one told him he was "doing a great job running the County". It was and continues to be a mess due to his inability to lead.
What is Gov. Abbott's purpose in endorsing Hagenbaugh? There is something Gov. Abbott is not telling we the people about his legislative agenda. The jackalope suspects something in regards to Texas public school education and the people's choice to remove their children from the failing system to pursue other avenues of education. The State education bureaucracy does not want to lose control of the vast amount of property taxed cash.
The border is simply a hot issue to keep we the people from considering Abbott's very purposeful endorsement of candidates for another agenda.
