“From legal gay sex to the Governor’s Mansion” could describe one Texas politician’s rise. The Texas governor’s race is off to a boring start compared to 2022. So far, the sole candidates are Governor Greg Abbott and Lt. Col. Pete “Doc” Chambers. Judging by X drama however, another candidate may jump in the race.
State Rep. Brian Harrison, notable for trying to pass LGBTP-priority legislation, hinted several times at a potential run. He retweeted and responded to a devout follower’s post asking him to run for governor. Harrison has cultivated quite the following on social media, with some seeing him as the sole conservative in the Texas House.
While known for hopping on trends, it appears he’s doubled down, even retweeting more fans who want him running for governor.
