Did Cornyn Staffer’s Old Posts Prevent Trump Endorsement?
Last week, Matt Mackowiak, senior communications staffer for Sen. John Cornyn’s campaign, seemingly doxxed Wesley Hunt after alleging Hunt committed voter fraud.
The allegation from Team Cornyn is that, in 2016, Wesley Hunt lied to an election judge about his discharge date from the U.S. military.
But there was unredacted personal information on the original affidavit posted by Mackowiak, including Hunt’s home address and the last four digits of his social security number.
Congressman Hunt would go on to file a police report against Mackowiak over the alleged doxxing.
Now, newly resurfaced posts from Mackowiak reveal his previously strong dislike for President Trump, leading many people to wonder if they explain Trump’s failure to endorse Cornyn.
The X posts by Mackowiak are a sharp contrast to the Cornyn campaign’s current messaging which portrays Senator Cornyn as a loyal, consistent supporter of President Trump.
Text Messages Confirm Gonzales Affair With Staffer
Current Revolt first reported back in September 2025 that a staffer of Congressman Tony Gonzales had committed suicide by self-immolation and that there was an alleged affair with Congressman Gonzales.
Two months later, Express-News reporter Bayliss Wagner asked Gonzales about the affair at TribFest. Gonzales denied the allegations:
Last night, Bayliss Wagner and Nancy Preyor-Johnson broke a story in which they obtained text messages from a Gonzales aide confirming the affair:
A former staffer in Gonzales' district office who worked closely with the aide, Regina Ann "Regi" Santos-Aviles, said she told him they had an affair in 2024, and that she spiraled into a depression after her husband discovered the relationship and Gonzales abruptly cut her off. He also shared with the San Antonio Express-News a screenshot of a text message from Santos-Aviles in which she acknowledged having an “affair with our boss.”
After news of the story broke, the Express-News editorial board withdrew its endorsement of Gonzales, citing the affair allegations.

POLICE REPORT: VALENTINA GOMEZ’S BROTHER INTOXICATED
Current Revolt has obtained the police report where Valentina Gomez was kicked out of a Williamson County Gala after police say Gomez’s brother assaulted Congressman John Carter’s security team.
In the report, the officer notes that both Valentina Gomez and her brother, Maicoll Gomez, were highly uncooperative, rude, and believed that Maicoll Gomez was intoxicated:
