City of Dallas Faces Legal Action for Ignoring Homeless Problem
Dallas citizens are fed up with the homeless problem in their city.
Dallas HERO attorney Art Martinez de Vera sent a letter to the Dallas Mayor and City Council members, warning that they would face a lawsuit if the city failed to enforce Texas Penal Code Section 38.05, which prohibits camping in public places.
The letter also asks the city to provide updates to citizens as well as ensuring that local ordiances, etc. are aligned with Texas statutes.
Even Dallas Reddit users, normally known for being incredibly progressive-left, have noticed a rise in homeless tents around the city, both creating a safety and enviornmental issue.
The City of Dallas will have sixty days to comply and beginenforcing the Texas Penal Code before Dallas HERO files their lawsuit.
Many people are suggesting that Dallas relocate its homeless population to Colony Ridge, as it is anticipated they will have plenty of room soon.
Here's a news tip for you:
I just submitted a letter to the police chief of Cross Roads, Texas, via the town's website, copying it to the courts, local newspapers, and TV stations. This department has earned the latest moment of police infamy by going viral for yet another routine display of tyranny. Unfortunately, this kind of abusive police behavior is nothing new—the only thing that makes it newsworthy is that it’s today’s viral 'bad cop' video. And one can’t help but wonder: if the man in question had been even slightly mentally ill, a minority, or homeless, how much worse—and how much more brazen—their behavior would have been. The fact that this is so predictable makes it all the more horrifying.

Subject: Congratulations, You’re the New Face of Tyranny
To the officers and supervisors of Cross Roads Texas Police Department:
Wow. I just had the misfortune of watching your officers—including the infamously incompetent Officer Holbert and her equally absurd supervisor—put on a masterclass in tyranny on YouTube. Congratulations on becoming internet famous! In the vast ocean of bad cops, you’ve managed to rise to the surface as shining examples of how not to uphold the Constitution. Bravo!
But wait, it gets better. I couldn’t help but notice your recurring job postings and the extremely generous salary you’re offering to entry-level officers. What was it again? Oh yes, a starting salary that most hardworking Americans can only dream of, complete with a retirement package after just 20 years—an unheard-of deal in the private sector or even most government positions. And for what? Ignorance, ego, and a total lack of accountability.
Let’s get real for a second. Many argue that such pay is justified because you “put your life on the line.” Sure, let’s go with that narrative. Except here’s the kicker: I’m a farmer. I feed you. Statistically, every single day I go to work, my risk of a gory, violent death is higher than yours. But you don’t see me demanding blind obedience, trampling on people’s rights, or acting like the Constitution is some kind of optional suggestion. Nope, I just do my job, and I do it with integrity—concepts that seem utterly foreign to your department.
What I saw in that video wasn’t law enforcement. It was an ego-driven power trip, complete with ignorance so profound it could be used as a cautionary tale. Officer Holbert is the perfect mascot for your department: arrogant, uninformed, and utterly unqualified for the responsibility of upholding the law. Pair that with her supervisor, who seems equally clueless, and you’ve got a recipe for disaster. Seriously, is this a comedy sketch? Because I’ve seen high school drama club performances with more competence than this.
And let’s not forget the hypocrisy. You demand respect while showing none. You demand trust while abusing authority. You preach “serve and protect,” but the only thing you seem to protect is your fragile egos. The routine is always the same: violate someone’s rights, double down with arrogance, deny wrongdoing, and circle the wagons when the public demands accountability. It’s a tired script, and we’re all sick of it.
Here’s the reality: The public sees you for what you are. We see the edited body cam footage you reluctantly release, the endless excuses, and the shameless attempts to dodge responsibility. We see the ignorance, the entitlement, and the unchecked power. And now, thanks to the internet, everyone else sees it too.
Enjoy your time in the spotlight—you’ve earned it. With hundreds of thousands of views and counting, you’re cementing your legacy as poster children for everything wrong with modern law enforcement. You’re not heroes. You’re not public servants. You’re bullies with badges, and the world is taking note.
But don’t worry—change is coming. Eventually, departments like yours will be gutted and rebuilt from the ground up with people who actually understand the law and respect the Constitution. Imagine that: a police force that doesn’t see civil rights as an inconvenience. It must be terrifying for you to think about.
In the meantime, enjoy the perks of your bloated salaries and gold-plated pensions. It’s probably the only thing keeping people like you in the job—because let’s face it, who else would want to work in such a toxic environment? Only the most morally bankrupt individuals need apply.
Sincerely,
A Farmer Who Feeds You and Respects the Constitution
