CURRENT REVOLT’S UNDER 30 IN POLITICS – PART 3
Throughout the week we will be introducing the top political activists, players, and rising stars in the Texas right-wing political sphere under 30 years old.
The individuals featured were either nominated by right-wing leadership or chosen, by Current Revolt staff, to be featured on this list. Those featured are the defining examples of next generation activists and political leadership.
They are displayed in no specific order as we feel everyone listed is playing a unique part in making Texas a greater place.
Today is part 3.
SHELBY GRIESINGER

What event/topic/issue got you active in politics?
Texas’ 86th legislative session got me active in politics. I was a pre-med student at UT Austin & got offered an internship with Rep. Stickland (whom I hadn’t even heard of at the time) through a mutual friend. I’d always kept up with national politics, but never wanted/planned to have a career in politics. I took the internship thinking “this will look good on my medical school resume” and thought nothing more of it. A month into the 86th as an intern, Stickland offered me a job as a legislative aide. I had my eyes opened to levels of corruption that I never could’ve imagined. Through being in Stickland’s office during the 86th, I found my passion in exposing & fighting against the corruption in Texas politics. I switched my major to Government & never looked back! I’ve worked in politics ever since.
What is the number one issue you are most passionate about?
Abortion. It is the most obvious and egregious example of the spiritual battle we are in. Abortionists, abortion clinics, and pro-abortion people actively lie to women about what actually happens during an abortion & the mental trauma on the mother that never goes away after the abortion. Abortion today is the same pagan ritual of child sacrifice to Moloch in the Bible, cleverly rebranded & sold to us as “women’s rights.” Abortion is demonic and evil 100% of the time.
Are you optimistic or pessimistic about Texas’ future?
Optimistic, thanks to Abbott’s primary challengers. Texas is our last shot to turn America around, and once Abbott is out of the way, I am confident Texas will be a leader once again.
What do you believe the Republican party gets right?
Memes, for sure. The left can’t meme.
What do you believe the Republican party gets wrong?
Compromising & “reaching across the aisle.” You’d think after being played like a fiddle & humiliated in nearly every “compromise” Republicans have made, they would learn a lesson. Nonetheless, we continue to go back & play footsie with the people that hate us & yearn for the destruction of our values, culture, and country.
Who or what was or is your biggest influence on your worldview?
The 86th legislative session, again. It was like a baptism-by-fire. My entire worldview shifted: political & spiritual. When you look evil in the face (and there is plenty of evil in politics) it really deepens & matures your faith. The 86th was my red pill, for sure.
Do you have a favorite right-wing e-celeb? A least favorite?
Favorite is currently Jesse Kelly. I don’t follow any e-celebs super closely, so don’t cancel me if he’s actually bad. I just love his Twitter trolling.
Do you think it gets easier to be more right-wing as you become older and more financially comfortable?
Yes, for sure. I’m very thankful that I work in conservative politics & don’t have to fear losing my job over my views. It was much harder when I was at UT Austin with medical school aspirations. It didn’t deter me of course, but it was always a concern in the back of my mind.
Who are you supporting for the Texas Governor race?
Don Huffines, 100%!
How did you get through the initial covid lockdown?
I worked at Texas Scorecard during the initial lockdown so nothing really changed for me — aside from not being able to dine-in at restaurants. I was still taking classes at UT (online because COVID) as well, so I stayed plenty busy.
What is your position on businesses and corporations discriminating against and/or terminating employees who are unvaccinated? Should businesses be allowed to do this?
Should be illegal. But also, stop working for people that would mandate the vaxx.
I am a pureblood.
What are you currently reading, watching, listening to, consuming?
I’m currently listening to the “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist” audiobook. I’m also a big fan of the “What We Said” podcast. It’s a relatively wholesome, non-political podcast that is a nice mental break from the constant political content that I usually consume.
What are your future plans in politics?
I used to have a very stringent plan and strict timeline for my life (med school and such). When I finally let go of that & started doing the things I felt like I was being called to do instead, I met my incredible husband, got to help start a home church, made some of the most amazing friends that are now like family, and I get to work a fulfilling job every day! Because of that, my only plans are to stay in politics in whatever capacity I’m needed & continue trolling libs on social media.
What do you do for a fun or hobby that is not politically related?
Trolling on the internet, hiking, playing with my German Shepherd, Kimber.

What event/topic/issue got you active in politics?
That would be abortion. I remember the news coming on when I was about 9 during the 2008 presidential election, with the topic being the abortion issue. Obama portrayed himself as the pro-infanticide candidate, while McCain claimed to be pro-life. It was then that I became intrigued with politics, and overtime my interest grew to the point I got acquainted with local conservative groups.
What is the number one issue you are most passionate about?
My main issues are social issues. Balanced budgets are good, but we won’t have a country if we lack order in our streets, secure borders, a country in which one can raise a family, and the ability provide for oneself and said family. I sometimes call myself a “Pat Buchanan Conservative,” since these issues he highlighted have some of the greatest impact on our daily lives.
Are you optimistic or pessimistic about Texas’ future?
While I sometimes have to fight my urge to blackpill, I’m currently optimistic about Texas’s future. While we have terrible governance, an insecure border, and degeneracy run amok, more people are awake to the problems we face and are more willing to seek real solutions. More people are losing the “my congressman” syndrome that keeps incompetent incumbents in power, and instead seek candidates fighting for their interests. If these trends continue, we’ll not only reclaim Texas, but the nation.
What do you believe the Republican party gets right?
I believe that the GOP is great at showing itself as a patriotic party, and courting those with the right instincts, especially in the Trump age. I like that we take the time to explain our beliefs to voters, rather than bribing them with endless freebies.
· What do you believe the Republican party gets wrong?
Get ready for an essay. First of all, I believe the party spends more time catering to potential donors, rather than common voters. Whether it be platforming establishment speakers at Lincoln-Reagan dinners, or talking points consisting of “free markets and low taxes” ad nauseum, that generally isn’t helpful with getting voters. Instead, we should promote America First Populism, and emphasize bringing jobs back, taking back our schools, ending COVID lockdowns, and cultural issues; it’s why we flipped Virginia, and how we’ll win in 2022.
Secondly, I believe the GOP does an awful job of wielding its power to enact conservative policies, mostly due to fearing a “strong government.” When dealing with Leftist enemies that don’t care about process or public opinion and ramrod as many policies as they want, refusing to serve your voter’s interests, and hiding behind the Constitution and “small government” when confronted over it is politically traitorous. As my former professor once stated, “Conservatives have focused almost exclusively on the theoretical underpinnings of republican government and market-oriented society, but this self-understanding has made them unable to wield power effectively and largely uninterested in doing so.” For those thinking the use of a strong government to implement conservative policies is somehow not “conservative,” consider this: it takes a strong government to abolish abortion, secure our border, end voter fraud, restore order, and other things that need accomplishing to save America. As Edmund Burke once put it: “Society cannot exist unless a controlling power upon will and appetite be placed somewhere, and the less of it there is within, the more there must be without…men of intemperate minds cannot be free. Their passions forge their fetters.”
Thirdly, the GOP should do more regarding youth engagement. Sadly, many GOP groups don’t bother reaching out to young people, and those that do seem to cater mostly to Libertarians. An example of a conservative group that does great at engaging young people would be Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT), who excel at promoting conservative ideals.
Who or what was or is your biggest influence on your worldview?
One of the biggest influences of mine (especially after seeing GOP weakness after their victories in the 2014 midterms) was Rick Santorum. As a young conservative familiar with his 2016 campaign (I switched to Trump after he dropped out), and knew him in 2015 as well (before he caved to the establishment in 2020), he opened my eyes early to populist, blue-collar conservatism that appeals to many, even electing a Republican like himself in a relatively blue state. Afterward, my ideology eventually developed to what it is today, especially after reading the works of Ann Coulter, Michael Savage, Pat Buchanan, and Michelle Malkin, as well as finding numerous internet conservatives. Another continuing influence on my worldview is Tucker Carlson.
Do you have a favorite right-wing e-celeb? A least favorite? While I like Paul Joseph Watson, Lauren Southern, and John Doyle, my preferred favorite is Vincent James of The Red Elephants. He’s not only a true America First conservative, but he delves deep into data, and presents an articulate view on most subject matters.
Do you think it gets easier to be more right-wing as you become older and more financially comfortable?
It would depend on how politically engaged they were already. On balanced budgets and tax rates they’d definitely become more right-wing regardless of previous engagement. But other issues, such as the economy, border security, or Critical Race Theory (CRT), the unengaged having a comfortable life might cause them to be complacent rather than truly right-wing, unless the issue is made personal and rubbed in their faces, like when lockdowns resulted in virtual “learning,” forcing parents to see first-hand their children being indoctrinated.
Who are you supporting for the Texas Governor race?
Lt. Col. Allen West. I firmly believe he’s competent, and has the right policy proposals to save Texas, and has the greatest chance of beating whoever the Democrats nominate.
How did you get through the initial covid lockdown?
Mostly spending time outdoors and reading, as well as watching older cinema on Amazon Prime, such as Blues Brothers, and the old James Bond movies.
What is your position on businesses and corporations discriminating against and/or terminating employees who are unvaccinated? Should businesses be allowed to do this?
I’m strongly against allowing businesses to abuse those refusing to get injected with an untested, side-affect riddled “vaccine,” that is a gross violation of not only HIPPA but of sanity itself. As John Doyle once put it, “government isn’t there to stop itself from screwing people over; it exists to stop others from screwing each other over.” When you allow a business to force you to get injected with something that may give you myocarditis and can’t even stop a virus with a 99.9% recovery rate just because they’re a private company, what can’t they do? What’s legally stopping the boss from coercing you into “favors” or making you support a certain political movement if you want to keep your job and feed your family? After all, it is a private company and they can do what they want, right free-market fundamentalists? By the way, I’m pureblood.
What are you currently reading, watching, listening to, consuming?
While I still watch the aforementioned youtubers when I can, I’ve been doing a decent amount of reading. I recently finished Tricky Dick by Roger Stone (a biography of Richard Nixon), and I just started reading Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton.
What are your future plans in politics?
That’s a hard question considering how unforeseeable the future political landscape is. While I might run for office if enough people ask me to, or if I’m needed, that’s not currently my plan though I’ll definitely be involved with activism in the future.
What do you do for a fun or hobby that is not politically related?
Regarding hobbies, I like going on my regular runs and hikes, as well as reading, collecting historical memorabilia, swimming, working out, and when I can afford it, hunting.
How can Texans help you?
Other than voting the Right way, and not dooming the future to ruin, there’s nothing you can do to help me personally. While I won’t reject gifts or compliments (with no strings attached), I don’t presently need any help.
Where can people go to follow you online?
Facebook, and that’s pretty much it. I don’t do Tiktok; I already have my data on the radar of one authoritarian regime, and I don’t need it on another (China).

What event/topic/issue got you active in politics?
Having grown up in a conservative household, I have been interested in politics for a while, but especially from around 2008, for reasons you can probably guess. Then, during President Trump’s time in office, I became very vocal about my increasingly divisive/conservative view-points on the internet. What finally placed me in the “action” category of politics was, at the beginning of 2021, I was fired from my airport job for not complying with mask-policies, and eventually landed a scheduling/communications job at True Texas Project.
What is the number one issue you are most passionate about?
Preserving the Constitution on the United States, and therefore preserving every American’s God-given right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Are you optimistic or pessimistic about Texas’ future?
I must say, lately I’ve been optimistic, as there does seem to have been a wave of realization in the minds of Texans, and especially low-info “Republican” voters, that we have been duped. There is still much to be done, but at the very least, it seems a tide is turning, and people are starting to step up.
What do you believe the Republican party gets right?
Yikes! That is a broad grouping of people, so I will answer broadly. I generally see that Republicans respond quite well to their constituents (in the event that legislation is being passed/voted on etc.) once some pressure has been applied, although it would be nice if the pressure wouldn’t even have to be applied. I guess we can’t expect elected officials to stand for what they ran their campaign on though, that’s too much to ask!
What do you believe the Republican party gets wrong?
I think the biggest failure of the republican party is that they are weak, and as a result, not many people/voters take them seriously. A very few are ever strong enough to act on their beliefs and stand up to their woke counterparts because it takes gumption, energy, thick skin, and a very high morale. If the party as a whole were to actually take a strong stance and stick to it on all of the issues it claims to support, I believe more people would take action in support of them.
Who or what was or is your biggest influence on your worldview?
My faith in Christ and belief in the Bible is most certainly the biggest influence on my worldview.
Do you have a favorite right-wing e-celeb? A least favorite?
I’m not sure I have a favorite, but I do enjoy Matt Walsh’s humorous/cut-and-dry commentary as well as Allie Beth Stuckey’s podcast, Relatable.
A least favorite would probably have to be that chick Kaitlin Bennet (the “Gun Girl”). Every time I see one of her videos I make the Michael Scott cringe face in second-hand embarrassment.
Do you think it gets easier to be more right-wing as you become older and more financially comfortable?
I suppose you could say that. The more that you learn the value of your money, your property, and your liberty on a personal level, the more motivated you become to defend it.
Who are you supporting for the Texas Governor race?
I’m supporting Don Huffines!
How did you get through the initial covid lockdown?
At the time, I was working at the airport, and the planes never stopped coming, so I really didn’t have to “lockdown” thankfully! My life stayed relatively the same except for I started getting glares and sneers anytime I went into an establishment without a mask. Fun times!
What is your position on businesses and corporations discriminating against and/or terminating employees who are unvaccinated? Should businesses be allowed to do this?
It sounds like absolute mindless insanity and discrimination to me, but what do I know? I’m no expert. I’m personally not vaccinated, and therefore will likely be excluded from qualifying for many jobs in the future if this policy becomes commonplace.
What are you currently reading, watching, listening to, consuming?
I’m currently watching Breaking Bad, reading Delighting in the Trinity by Michael Reeves, and listening to The Briefing by Albert Mohler. If that’s not a balanced variety of consumption, I don’t know what is!
What are your future plans in politics?
I’d love to get more involved on a local level in activism. Running for office sounds like a headache, but maybe sometime I’ll go for school board or precinct chair.
What do you do for a fun or hobby that is not politically related?
My biggest passion in life is music! I enjoy listening to all genres, I love to write songs, play piano, play guitar, and sing. I also enjoy quite literally any activity in the great outdoors, including hiking, kayaking, biking, boating, horseback riding, and more.
How can Texans help you?
I would appreciate feedback from anyone older and/or wiser, if they have any advice on how to stay active in politics without allowing it to consume your mind and turn you into an angry goblin. I’ll take followers too if the first option isn’t doable.
Where can people go to follow you online?
I’m on Instagram and Facebook as well as YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music! There hasn’t been much music content lately, as I’ve been doing a bit of writing and rearranging on my songs, but there will be soon!

Are you optimistic or pessimistic about Texas’ future?
Texas is trending blue. The GOP is going to have make some substantial changes in leadership and results to avoid turning into a swing state like Georgia.
What do you believe the Republican party gets right?
We are obviously winning on bringing competence to the government. Everything the left has taken control of turns into a mess: Afghanistan, the supply chain, inflation running rampant, the immigration crisis, and critical race theory in public schools.
Do you have a favorite right-wing e-celeb? A least favorite?
Favorite: Bill O’Riley & Tucker Carlson obviously top of the line journalists. Derek Utley does a great job as an influencer and political strategist. The Conservateur is a disruptive online news and lifestyle publication as well, they have a lot of promise.
Who are you supporting for the Texas Governor race?
Abbott was too cautious on lifting covid restrictions, but I currently I don’t see a path to victory in the primary for anyone challenging him.
What are your future plans in politics?
Strategic Political Management is a full spectrum republican political consulting firm I am looking to grow. We take great pride in being taking on clients with tough races and helping them out.

CARLY SPAIN
Carly Spain is a political activist, Social Media Manager, and Digital Marketer for the Don Huffines campaign. Carly is passionate about pro-life issues and the increasing problem of pornographic books being shown to children in schools.
Age
21
What event/topic/issue got you active in politics?
I had originally started out as a summer graphic design intern, but a few stubborn and opinionated people, who are now a big part of my life, convinced me to take a year off school and work as the social media manager on the Huffines Campaign. It was my best decision.
What is the number one issue you are most passionate about?
Abolishing abortion is number one. A close second are the disgusting pornographic books being given to children in public schools under Greg Abbott’s administration.
Are you optimistic or pessimistic about Texas’ future?
Working with Don and other conservative leaders has made me optimistic despite the growing numbers of RINOs and young woke voters in our state.
What do you believe the Republican party gets right?
The Republican Party Platform and Conservative values are all biblical and truthful. I think the problem is when people stray away from those or try to find a middle ground. We cannot give way on our platform or our values.
What do you believe the Republican party gets wrong?
Too many people think it’s okay to compromise their conservative principles and meet in the middle. Just speak truth and stand firm.
Who or what was or is your biggest influence on your worldview?
I am blessed with numerous mentors, inside and outside of the political world. These people, along with my savior, Jesus Christ, shape my worldview.
Do you think it gets easier to be more right-wing as you become older and more financially comfortable?
Take one economics class and it’s obvious which side has it right.
Who are you supporting for the Texas Governor race?
Don Huffines has my full support. I’m beyond proud to be a part of his team.
What is your position on businesses and corporations discriminating against and/or terminating employees who are unvaccinated? Should businesses be allowed to do this?
Businesses, corporations, and governments that force vaccines on people are weak and an embarrassment. I don’t care if you have the vaccine or not, that is nobody’s business but your own.
What are you currently reading, watching, listening to, consuming?
Michael Quinn Sullivan’s Texas Minute is a daily read for me!
What do you do for a fun or hobby that is not politically related?
I love art, music, and skateboarding.

Age
20
What event/topic/issue got you active in politics?
Abortion and Donald Trump winning the election
What is the number one issue you are most passionate about?
Abortion because my mother was lied to and coerced into getting an abortion when she was very young.
Are you optimistic or pessimistic about Texas’ future?
Very optimistic about Texas’ future. Don Huffines is great and I really hope he wins! We need more people like Don Huffines in Texas politics. He’s a real America first politician.
What do you believe the Republican party gets right?
The Republican Party is very good at naturally pushing online and in person movements, like Stop the Steal and hashtags like “#chinaliedpeopledied”
What do you believe the Republican party gets wrong?
The party continues to promote people that aren’t America first, and individuals who are RINOs, and Libertarians that don’t actually care about America.
Who or what was or is your biggest influence on your worldview?
My biggest influence is Jesus Christ and he wouldn’t be very happy with the state of the world right now, especially America. America is now the leading country in exporting dumb and stupid people under the Biden administration!
Do you have a favorite right-wing e-celeb? A least favorite?
My favorite right wing E-Celeb would have to be Elijah Schafer. He is very charismatic, funny and all around great! He’s always a good time to hang out with! My least favorite would have to be Hunter Avallone now, he changed from being a very cool and funny right wing creator to a total liberal loser!
Do you think it gets easier to be more right-wing as you become older and more financially comfortable?
No it will never get easier to be a Republican. We will be persecuted and attacked constantly. Soon the unvaccinated will be so persecuted that we will be considered second class citizens.
Who are you supporting for the Texas Governor race?
Don Huffines!
How did you get through the initial covid lockdown?
I got through the pandemic by traveling as much as possible. I went to Chicago, LA, Phoenix, Atlanta, Orlando, Milwaukee, Madison Wisconsin, Nashville, Houston, Boston, Philly, Richmond, Baltimore and DC.
What is your position on businesses and corporations discriminating against and/or terminating employees who are unvaccinated? Should businesses be allowed to do this?
I am unvaccinated and proud! I believe that no company should require the vaccine for employees and guests. It should be punished harshly.
What are you currently reading, watching, listening to, consuming?
I’m consuming a lot of Slightly offensive and John Doyle! Very good content creators, would highly recommend!
What are your future plans in politics?
I would definitely like run for office one day. I’m thinking I’ll start out as a state representative!
