Dade Phelan Has Essentially Been Kicked Out of the Republican Party
The Texas GOP is urging Phelan to stop saying he is a Republican.
“Representative Dade Phelan is discouraged from participating in the 2024 Republican Party Primary.”
Top leaders in the Republican Party of Texas met over the weekend to craft a message urging Republican voters to please stop voting for Dade Phelan.
A vote to censure Phelan, who currently serves as Speaker of the Texas House, was passed by the State Republican Executive Committee by a vote of 54 – 4, with an additional 4 abstaining.
Full text of the censure:
The Republican Party of Texas is now authorized to spend funds (up to 12% of their budget) to educate voters that Phelan is a rogue entity who cuts deals with Democrats to stay in power.
Phelan has been criticized for having the same position on the border as Joe Biden—urging illegal aliens to go to ports of entry and claim fake asylum using the government‘s app, and then putting Democrats in positions of power to cover up for these crimes. Thankfully, 88% of the SREC understands this and has acted accordingly.
You could say that Dade Phelan has been kicked out of the Republican Party.
President Trump trashed Phelan and gave David Covey, who is running against Phelan in the Republican Primary, his “Complete Total Endorsement” for HD 21.
Phelan posted an impressive picture of his abdominal muscles in April 2023 amidst growing criticism, an attempt to salvage his sinking image. However, voters were quick to get over his abs and remind Phelan that the border is still open.
It is unclear if Phelan plans to continue the unauthorized use of the Republican label, or what legal options are available to stop Phelan from defrauding voters in the upcoming Primary Election.
What GREAT NEWS! Thank you for reporting this as I did not know!
Good! He needs to be kicked to the curb by his constituents. He's a freaking lying democRAT, not a Republican.
