It must be hard to be a Democrat. You have to imagine their arms get tired constantly throwing money at everything.
DALLAS - In the battle over leaf blowers, the city of Dallas is considering an incentive plan to get residents to buy electric lawn equipment over gas-powered varieties.
The incentive plan is estimated to cost the city $24 million while saving the average household $200.
Let’s check their math.
If there are 500,000 households in Dallas and they average $200 in savings, how much will the program cost?
I’m not an egghead PhD, but I think it is more than $24 million.
Details, I guess.
The idea is that the city would offer either a discount or a rebate to people who purchase electric lawn equipment instead of gas-powered.
It is a much different conversation compared with the idea of a ban on gas-powered equipment that the city considered two years ago.
The border is open and there is a 28% increase in crime for certain parts of Dallas, but I generally tend to agree with the City—buying new lawn equipment is really fun and cool.
The left-leaning Dallas City Council is ostensibly considering this program as part of some kind of Green New Deal weather modification program.
However, what it actually seems to be is a Lowes and Home Depot stimulus package.
A $200 coupon on a $3000 purchase to change the weather?
Yep, it’s a Democrat thing.
Of course China is the ultimate winner, as usual.
On the lawn care podcast, Lawn Care Frank, the CEO of a Dallas-based electric mowing company, Stephen Gault, admitted that even with commercial-grade electric lawn equipment, lawns sometimes require multiple passes just to properly mow.
You have to mow twice to save the earth? This is definitely a Democrat program.
The city is also considering spending almost $10 million dollars on “housing opportunities for persons with AIDS.”
Hopefully the AIDS people are first in line to get an electric mower. I can’t imagine having AIDS and not even getting (at least) a $50 coupon at the home improvement store.
Every day a new blackpill
China likes anything battery because don't they own most of the lithium mines? They like forced child labor too, no?
