Democrats Involved in Birth Tourism? Talarico Accused of Racist Race. Paxton Hit Nonstop.
Monitoring the Situation (7/9/26)
Here are a few situations we are monitoring on your behalf:
Democrats involved in BIRTH TOURISM?
Talarico accused of RACISM.
They’re throwing everything plus the kitchen sink at Paxton.
Are Democrats Behind Birth Tourism?
Duh.
Mark McCaig of The Texas Voice is reporting that the President of the foundation behind Mission Regional Medical Center is a member of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee because of course she is:
This is Dr. Bhatia btw:
Mission Regional Medical Center gave a statement to FOX News regarding their giant birth tourism billboards and website they took down:
“Mission Regional Medical Center is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare and expanding access to care for the communities we serve. Like hospitals across the country and throughout the region, we share information about the healthcare services we provide. We do not support or facilitate any unlawful activity and work to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. The marketing materials regarding maternity services are no longer in use due to any unintended misunderstanding. We intend to work cooperatively and transparently with local and state officials. Our focus remains on delivering safe, high-quality care to every patient who seeks our services."
Will somebody please do something?
James Talarico Accused of Running in “Racist Race” Against Former Democrat Opponent
In a video posted by on X last night, former US Congresswoman and Texas Senate Candidate Jasmine Crockett seemed to blame RACISM for her loss against James Talarico.
Many people are saying that Talarico is struggling with the Black vote and that Crockett’s support could help with that. However, Crockett seems more concerned with promoting down-ballot candidates.
One thing you can always count on is people within the Dem party eventually accusing each other of racism.
Media Hits Paxton On Girlfriends, His Home, and Fundraising Numbers
Attorney General Ken Paxton is seemingly being attacked all at once by media for everything from his new squeeze to where he votes.
New Girlfriend
Last week, DailyMail posted a video showing Paxton in Europe with his most recent girlfriend. Paxton seems to notice the person filming them and becomes startled:
He’s in the fight of his political life, on the verge of losing Texas for the Republicans for the first time in a generation.
But aspiring Senator Ken Paxton shows no signs of stress.
In fact, the Texas attorney general is on vacation with his mistress, gallivanting around Europe without fear of being seen... and risking the wrath of President Donald Trump.
The Daily Mail has obtained footage of Paxton, 63, and his paramour, Christian influencer Tracy Duhon, 58, sightseeing in London this week.
DailyMail also notes a quote from an unnamed Texas lobbyist saying that “A lot of Republicans don’t care about the affair. They do care about Ken Paxton winning the race.”
They’re right.
Wrong Voting Address
ProPublica reported yesterday claiming that Paxton is using an address to vote where he no longer lives, claiming he’s voted in six elections at that wrong address.
Paxton appears to have used an address where he did not live while voting in six elections in the past two years, including in May’s runoff that made him the Republican nominee for U.S. senator, according to records obtained by ProPublica and The Texas Tribune.
Both ProPublica and the Texas Tribune reached out to the Paxton campaign regarding their reporting. They received no direct response to their questions.
Fundraising Numbers
Axios reported that Paxton raised $9 million during Q2 of this year for his US Senate race.
Comparisons were immediately made to Talarico who raised $30 million in Q2:
Paxton has consistently struggled with fundraising compared to his opponents, including John Cornyn.
It didn’t seem to matter though, despite Cornyn out-raising Paxton by almost 400%, Paxton easily defeated Cornyn in the Republican primary.
For context, Beto raised almost double over Cruz in 2018 but lost anyway.
The latest stories seemingly had no effect on prediction markets. The Kalshi numbers show Paxton maintaining a steady 58% over Talarico:
