Democrats Steal Our “Scam” Talking Point, Win Texas With It
School choice was the most conservative thing ever done, anywhere, at any time. In fact, it was so important that Greg Abbott dragged the Legislature through four special sessions in 2023, which no governor had done in 176 years, and spent two of those sessions trying to pass school choice.
But alas, the ungrateful voters of Texas didn’t appreciate having so much school choice.
It’s so sad. As our President said, “you only have yourselves to blame!”
Yes, dear reader. You are to blame. If we lose school choice, we can confidently say that America is over and that Texas has fallen.
Just kidding. School choice is a welfare program that enriches a New York app company, which came about by Jeff Yass buying off Texas politicians. It cost him at least $12 million and got him one school year.
We warned you in April 2023 that this was a scam, and then again five more times in 2025. The Democrats then stole our talking point and used it to defeat all the scammer Republicans.
It was just so obviously true. Even Jolanda Jones could figure out it was a scam.
Anyway, the welfare program’s lobbyist would like a word.
Tommy Schultz, CEO of the DeVos group that spent the Yass money:
Did his use of all-caps move your heart? Mine too. I was almost ready to fund year two before I remembered it’s a shopping app.
We covered a family getting $10,400 for a $50 tuition. Nobody can explain how this is helping anyone learn anything. What they have is 110,000 people getting a check, which is how every welfare program defends itself.
But it looks like the Democrats are just going to kill poor school choice. Most likely they’ll move the money into some other education scam, one that pays their donors instead.
Dan Patrick’s concession listed reasons why he lost: affordability, gas prices, data centers, 765-kV lines. Two paragraphs later, what he’s proud of: “We passed school choice for 100,000 families.”
Don Huffines, who ran the program and lost with it: “I blame this on Greg Abbott. I blame it on Dan Patrick. I blame it all on our leadership.”
At least Huffines blamed his own leadership. Our increasingly deranged President blames, of all things, the voters!
The $1 billion was for one school year. Year two is a line in a budget Hinojosa can just veto.
To the recently un-elected Republicans: hope it was worth it, losers!
Known Republican Lobbyist Shamelessly Promotes Democrat Connection After Blue Tsunami
Andrea McWilliams, a longtime, high-profile Austin lobbyist and the founder/president of McWilliams Governmental Affairs, recently sent out an email promoting her appearance at Democrat Governor-Elect Gina Hinojosa’s watch party.
This is particularly notable seeing as McWilliams is well known for her fundraising and work for major Republicans like Bush, Cruz, and Cornyn.
Almost immediately after Hinojosa’s historic win over Greg Abbott, McWilliams sent out an email showing herself in the crowd of Hinojosa’s watch party.
A consultant we spoke to called the email by McWilliams “shameless.”
“Texan” Mailbox Dweller Recommends Pay-For-Play Journalist as Cabinet Pick
It’s been a long time since failed candidate and influencer Valentina Gomez has been relevant. After the blue tsunami inflicted on Texas Republicans, she decided to open her mouth again, this time recommending Laura Loomer as Trump’s next cabinet pick.
Loomer was recently accused of pay-for-play journalism by Trump political consultant Alex Bruesewitz:
