Elon Musk's X Comes to Aid of Texas Activist
Today, X’s Global Government Affairs account announced that the platform is financially supporting Texas political activist and Williamson County GOP Chair Michelle Evans in her defense against a potential criminal lawsuit.
The case stems from a May 2023 incident at the Texas Capitol in Austin, where Evans reposted a photo (which she did not take) of a transgender activist washing their hands in the women’s restroom. The photo was originally shared by someone else in her group on Facebook, and Evans used it in a tweet to comment on transgender bathroom access amid a debate over gender-reassignment treatments for minors.

The Travis County District Attorney opened a criminal investigation, citing Texas Penal Code § 21.15(b), which prohibits transmitting images of someone in a private area like a restroom without consent and with intent to invade privacy. Evans sued to block the probe on First Amendment grounds, but a 2-1 Fifth Circuit panel recently allowed it to continue.
X’s Government Affairs account announced today that they would be supporting the legal case in support of Michelle Evans.
The statute of limitations on this case ends around May of 2026. Current Revolt spoke to Evans who confirmed that her phone remains confiscated at this time.
In 2023 Elon Musk had vowed that X would support those who were punished by their employer for their activity on X.
The social media landscape has shifted dramatically since Elon Musk took over Twitter (now X) in late 2022. Many everyday users have grown tired of the constant push of LGBTQ+ and transgender-related content appearing in their algorithms, which they feel had been amplified under previous management.
Before Musk’s acquisition, conservatives frequently faced restrictions on major platforms, including full bans or shadow bans on Facebook and the old Twitter. These measures often limited visibility or outright removed accounts for content deemed controversial, fueling long-standing complaints of political bias.
Under Musk, X has emphasized a “free speech” approach, reinstating many previously suspended conservative voices and reducing certain content restrictions

I am sick and tired of these pedovore, child molesting perverts and mentally unstable individuals in drag trying to find prey in the women's bathrooms all over this country. When are American parents going to find the spinal fortitude to put forth a bill citing their insanity and demand the Psychiatric Association reclassify them as mentally insane so we can remove them from society and get on with our lives.. I recall when the gay movement( which btw is at the heart of this tranny bullshit) came out of their closets and the first thing on their 'to do' list was to get their perverted . immoral and sick behaviors removed from the Psychiatric Associations list of mental disorders.
We must demand a revisit to the days when they were classified correctly by our medical professions instead of this current state of affairs when he medical professions in almost every category have stopped living their Hippocratic Oath " To Do No Harm".
We must demand they take full responsibility for their irresponsible , reprehensible and outright harmful practice of wokeness and quit accepting these behaviors as protected under some misread or misapplied Constitutional umbrella.
