“Hey man, housing is like, super expensive. And yo, get this—we’ve got, like, millions of people who are legally not allowed to live in these houses. If we can, like, you know, get them out of these houses, then maybe the cost of housing will go down.”
This has become a compelling argument for politicians. Now even elected Democrats are seeing it that way.
TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Smith County Democratic Party is condemning county leaders (including the only Democrat) for supporting local immigration enforcement as the sheriff defends his department’s role in upholding the law.
Hector Garza, who leads the Smith County Democratic Party, said the group is disappointed with the commissioners court for its support of the sheriff’s office assisting ICE with immigration enforcement.
“We feel like we’ve now had a bounty put on our heads,” Garza said.
It’s all good bro. They are not chopping off their heads like in Mexico. They are just catching criminals in the wild.
What’s even cooler is they are returning them to their natural habitat.
The Smith County Democratic Party expressed disappointment with the court for unanimously voting in favor of the agreement, including the court’s lone Democrat, Pct. 4 Commissioner Ralph Caraway Sr.
Garza criticized Caraway’s vote, saying his precinct is predominantly Hispanic and African American.
“He’s our Democrat inside the commissioners court. His precinct, his area, is predominantly brown and black, Hispanic and African American. These are the people that we represent in our community and we’re voting to hurt them. So, we truly don’t understand,” Garza said.
Do African Americans approve of being roped into arguments supporting illegal aliens? Apparently even pastor/politicians are tired of illegal aliens and their ill-gotten gains.
Of course there were protests in Tyler. It looked pretty typical, women and a few Mexicans.
