Ex-Crowder Employee Has GoFundMe to Defend Himself Against Lawsuit
Even Ben Shapiro gave money for his defense.
Steven Crowder has been caught up in several controversies this year, mostly related to a divorce he chose to make very public. We actually attended one of his divorce hearings, where one of Steven Crowders lawyers falsely accused us of recording court hearings and had our phone confiscated.
There was also the Ring video, first published by
where Crowder seemingly berates his wife about medication involving his dog.In the video above, Steven states the following:
Heโs demanding his wife do โwifely things.โ
He says that if she โwalks outโ he canโt go to the gym, visit his parents, or call his friends(what?), seemingly because they only have one vehicle.
He refuses to let her take their only car, so when his wife says sheโll call a friend for a ride, he demands that she call an Uber instead.
He tells his wife he doesnโt love her.
He tells her that in order to prove sheโs โcommittedโ to him, she must walk their dog and put on gloves (to administer their dogs medicine while pregnant).
Yesterday, Jared Monroe, a former employee of Steven Crowder, announced heโs fighting against a lawsuit involving an โunconstitutional NDAโ from a former employer.
Monroe alleges he was served a lawsuit from a former employer in 2023 demanding that he cease all communication with his friends. He also says that his former employer sent him a Rule 202 petition where they demanded he be subject to an oral deposition.
Monroe says the heart of the suit from his former employer is based around an NDA he signed years ago. He goes on to say the work environment of his former employer was so toxic that he had to be admitted to a heart hospital and put on medication.
In the video, Monroe says that the NDA he signed stipulated he was not allowed to work in media โanywhere in the worldโ for two years. He also states that his former employer took his Twitter account and his personal production equipment that he purchased even before his employment.
Monroe later says he signed the NDA in order to end the legal claims made against him and was promised he would be allowed to work for a different media organization without issue. He says that after he began to work for said new media company, he was served with a new cease and desist from his former employer and was terminated from his new gig.
At the end of the video, Monroe announces he has created a GoFundMe in order to help with the legal fees heโs incurring while defending himself. At the time of publishing his legal fund is at $69,135.
Monroe says any of the leftover funds from the GoFundMe will go to former coworkers of his who are also fighting similar suits.
Louder with Crowder CEO Gerald Morgan stated on X that Monroe has โforced his handโ and is seemingly releasing a video at 9am CST today.
In a statement to Mediaite, Morgan defends the lawsuit:
โWe will not be intimidated by media smear tactics. Mr. Monroe entered into an agreement with Louder with Crowder that he knowingly violated. After discovering repeated violations, Louder with Crowder was forced to take legal action. The trial court has denied Mr. Monroeโs effort to avoid the legal proceedings which are moving forward pursuant to the courts order.โ

Many other conservative media pundits spoke out in support of Monroe.
Ben Shapiro also confirmed he donated to Monroeโs GoFundMe.
Weโll update as more information becomes available.
