FINALLY: Leach Comes Through w/ Drone Self Defense Bill
HB 2916 lets Texans blow drones to bits.
If you follow Texas politics like us, you know—we’re in the thick of it. Everybody knows that a tidal wave of top-down support from the ruling class has appeared for the latest “school choice” thing, and we all find ourselves monitoring the situation (i.e. the politicians.)
If you have insight on the latest school choice bill that you think Texans should know about, please send an email to tips@CurrentRevolt.com. When it comes to new, supposedly right-wing welfare(?) programs coming from Austin, we are all monitoring the situation.
The truth is that government carries out the Will of the People. Representative government works, and Jeff Leach has proved it by authoring a bill to let Texans shoot down drones.
This is the way.
Representative Jeff Leach was on the outs with the grassroots after being called a RINO for several years in a row. However, after grassroots activists showed up and protested at his home during the Holidays (very classy), Leach has finally started listening to his constituents.
Leach has responded by filing what many people are saying is a solution to something that is really annoying: Drones.
HB 2916 will allow Texans to legally blow a drone to bits—if it’s spotted flying over your property.
Drones are an emerging threat on the homeland, and we need to get ahead of it.
Drones can:
Kill you
Take photos of you naked
Play obscenities through speakers at you (n word, etc)
Blow things up
Be loud and annoying
Be Chinese (or worse)
We simply can’t have any of this.
As promising as this bill looks, it seems as though shooting killer drones will still be illegal at the state level in cities with over 100,000 in population. However, cities under 100k could potentially be drone-free sanctuaries in Texas.
Here is the short list for potential drone-hunting destinations if this bill becomes law:
This is the way!
I’m tired of the govt trying to regulate my drone.
It’s time for “Drone Choice”
With the new Drone Voucher System you’ll be able to fly your drone in any city in Texas. This will ensure that the most drone friendly cities have the highest number of drones.
Why is it limited to using a gun? Is there not going to be a bow season?
