A former Houston area school teacher is suing Rep. Briscoe Cain claiming he defamed her causing her to lose her job after her reaction to the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
J. Marie Brookreson, a 22-year teacher who was at Crosby High School until last September, filed the suit against Cain early last month and is asking a jury for over $100,000 in damages.
In the evening of the day Charlie Kirk was murdered, Rep. Briscoe Cain posted a screenshot on X highlighting Brookreson’s Facebook where she “liked” a comment regarding Kirk:
