As of yesterday, federal agent and Texas ex-congressman Will Hurd officially dropped from the 2024 GOP presidential primary after less than five months of campaigning. A poor man’s Jeb Bush, it’s likely because Hurd finally realized he possesses zero potential of victory. Shockingly, he endorsed his ideological doppelgänger Nikki Haley.
Per CNN:
Former Texas Rep. Will Hurd announced Monday that he is ending his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 and is endorsing former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
“Unfortunately, it has become clear to me and my team that the time has come to suspend our campaign,” he wrote in a statement, adding that “it is important to recognize the realities of the political landscape and the need to consolidate our party around one person to defeat both Donald Trump and President (Joe) Biden.”
We predicted Hurd’s joke of a campaign would flop bigly, and our prophecy was correct. With his open borders activism, BLM support, preachy warmongering, and his intimacy with Beto, chances are he was unappealing to normal people.
Now, there’s only one Texan in the race, but even he stands little chance of breaking two percent of the vote. Anyhow, the 2024 GOP primary got less crowded, but there’s still more Presidential candidates than made-up genders. Nevertheless, it’s always good to see NeoCons chucked into the history’s dust bin, and one less shill embarrassing Texans on the national stage.
All in all, this serves as more evidence candidates refusing to acknowledge the Bush years ended are electorally unviable, and are the antithesis of substance. Besides, we know what most NeverTrumper’s real motives are (when they aren’t bought off.)
It’s a perfect example of how delusional most politicians are.
Who are the 26% people that prefer a soft, sensitive approach. Have you idiots seen what's going on in the world? Asking Iran nicely to stop murdering people won't work.
