Gov. Abbott Calls for Total Ban on H-1B Workers in Texas Public Schools

“We’re tired of the federal government not putting limits on who comes here under H-1B.”

In press conference yesterday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott said he was calling for legislation completely banning H-1B workers in Texas schools.

At one point a reporter asked about the struggle to find bilingual teachers under an H-1B ban. Gov Abbott responded that he was tired of the federal government not having limits on H1-B and their failure to control who is coming into Texas.
