Houston: $1.2 Billion Awarded for “Revenge Porn” to “Send a Message”

Why not award $1.2 quadrillion?

Is the purpose of our justice system supposed to be to “send a message?”

HOUSTON — A Harris County woman was awarded over a billion dollars in an image-based sexual abuse case, otherwise known as "revenge porn." 

The woman and her attorneys said she has been harassed for years by an ex-boyfriend who put sexually explicit images of her on the internet without her consent.

This $1.2 billion dollar verdict is a huge victory for the woman who told KHOU 11 that she had lived her life in fear. 

There are many stories out there detailing the actions of the accused. He did some really despicable things in an effort to harm the woman’s reputation. Nevertheless, the case and judgement were only about the revenge porn.

She says he even sent her a threatening message, letting her know she would spend the rest of her life wiping herself clean from the internet.

"His purpose is to ruin her," said Gilde. 

Attorneys said they filed the lawsuit 16 months ago and we're very pleased with the verdict.

"It was about sending a message to the world," said attorney Jacob Schiffer. "Do not mess with Texas and do not mess with Texas women."

Obviously, you should not share “revenge porn.” The evidence that really damned the accused was that the dude explicitly stated he was sharing the porn to harm the woman’s reputation. Very stupid.

Still, was there really $1.2 billion in damage done?

This is all just more out of control feminism.

This revenge porn law was passed in 2015. It passed unanimously.

Interestingly, the law went out of its way to create a special legal protection for having sex with animals.

Like… what?

I saw that and was like

The Texas House and Senate voted UNANIMOUSLY to protect BESTIALITY?

Yikes.

I wonder who insisted that sex with animals was protected?

Of course

Democrat State Rep Mary Gonzalez already did the old switcharoo once, saying she was a lesbian and then later coming out as a “pansexual.” Is there another bombshell coming?

Being a pansexual is weird as heck, and so is sex with animals.

Basically we just need to ban porn entirely.
