Houston Democrat: Whites Have Done “Irreparable Harm” to Blacks in Texas
Guess we just have to do communism.
Racism transcends space-time, which is why we need to enact Democrat policies ASAP. We can’t repair the fabric of space unless we do race-Marxism.
Calling the celebration of Confederate Heroes Day a "constant reminder" of a horrible past, state Rep. Jarvis Johnson, D-Houston, on Wednesday called for Texas to end its commemoration as a state holiday.
Confederate Heroes Day is celebrated on Jan. 19. The holiday commemorates the lives of Confederate President Jefferson Davis and Gen. Robert E. Lee as well as soldiers who died fighting the Union during the Civil War. Texas used to separately celebrate the birthdays of Davis and Lee, but consolidated them in 1973 into Confederate Heroes Day.
"When we talk about what Confederate Heroes Day is, it is a remembrance of a horrible past," Johnson, who is Black, said at a press conference surrounded by other lawmakers. "A past that has done irreparable damage to many of the residents of the state of Texas."
“Irreparable” means there is no solution.
The past is harming the future now and forever. What does this even mean? Multidimensional racists are traveling through time from the 1860’s and coming here to hurt people’s feelings? I have no idea.
For the record, if this does happen to be the case, I do support killing the time travelers.
Johnson then claims his lineage includes a white slave owner who raped one of his black slaves. He then denounces this ancestor as being ontologically evil for having different political views and being his great great grandfather.
Despite saying there is nothing that will make things better, he still wants to erase the war veteran holiday known as Confederate Heroes Day, presumably out of spite.
The interesting thing about this story is that it fully exposes Matt Shaheen, a Republican Texas State Representative who identifies as middle eastern, as attempting to conceal the fact that he is accomplishing the same goal of erasing the holiday with his bill.
Shaheen filed HB599 to erase Confederate Heroes Day, which we wrote about previously.
Shaheen’s bill amends the exact same code as this Democrat’s bill, but it frames the whole bill as being something about “floating holidays,” which we see is clearly just some distraction to conceal what he is actually doing.
It’s just hoaxes everywhere you look these days, but sadly we can’t control the hoaxes.
You can only control so much in this life. Sometimes all you can do is smile.
Easy solution.. Ignore and say " Shut the F. up" and move on..
You guys do a lot more than "SMILE".
That's a story ya'll can tell your grandkids: "I was a real reporter in the 2020's in Texas"
Let's see anyone one up you on that.
