How Texas Republicans Finance the Censorship of their Voters (Copy)
There has been a lot of complaining among conservatives lately about the mass censorship of free speech online from big tech.
Today, I’m going to name the names of Texas Republicans who have used your tax dollars to subsidize this red terror coming for all of us who are to the right of Mitt Romney.
Here’s the thing,
The Thing
Not only did our Texas Republicans fail to see this iceberg we’ve just hit, a system-wide persecution from the most powerful institutions, but they plotted the course and paid for the tickets.
To this day, most Republicans in Texas who run for office claiming to be conservative are only conservative inasmuch as they want to protect the status quo of neoliberalism. They have figured out how to make a bunch of money by staying silent about the causes of our national and societal decline, and they think that earning 30 pieces of silver today will save their great-grandchildren from this future hell that’s on the horizon.
Instead of facing our many challenges head-on, they have decided to rebrand conservativism as a kind of “gospel of prosperity.” That is to say, they created policy to stimulate economic growth (on paper) while wrecking the future for the people of Texas.
The Texas Enterprise Fund
The Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) is a half-baked idea created in 2003 using formulas on a spreadsheet that looks purely at economic activity and willfully omits any unintended consequences of this cash giveaway to corporations. They look at cash awarded vs. economic activity created by the new jobs in determining who to throw money at. It’s literally just a spreadsheet that adds numbers together. This it the strategic level Republicans operate at politically.
I’m not going to debate the merits of such a program here today. I’m not an ideologue, and there are obviously pros and cons to such a program. But if we’re going to have a program like this, why are we funding companies that not only hate conservatives, but are actively working to harm them?
After we look at the details, we will list which Republicans supported this program.
TEF Screw Job Gallery
Here is a selection of what the “Free Cash Giveaway to Businesses to Exist in Texas” program has been up to:
Apple and Facebook
Facebook has banned your president and censors normal conservative views and opinions. They have engaged in the biggest electioneering campaign in world history in favor of Democrats and left wing globalists all across the world. Apple will crush any social media and prevent them from becoming a viable alternative, as we just saw with Parler.
The censoring of your speech is subsidized courtesy of your Texas state legislature.
TOTAL TEF AWARDS: $46,400,000
Again, these are cash payments to “create jobs” which is another way of saying “be a normal business.”
Uber
Uber says if you “tolerate racism” then you aren’t welcome to use their service. What “tolerate racism” really means is, “support Trump.”
UBER TEF AWARD: $24,000,000
Uber’s employees gave 97% of political donations to Democrats in 2016. This cash award will go straight to efforts to defeat Republicans.
Undermining American Workers—Cognizant and Infosys
During the second half of 2020, while everyone was locked in their houses and Texas businesses were closing left and right due to the government’s anti-virus superstitions, the Texas government gave almost half a million dollars to Infosys, a multinational company out of INDIA whose business model is based on outsourcing American jobs.
Cognizant Technology Solutions is a company that makes large profit margins off of outsourcing tech jobs and IMPORTING foreigners on H1B Visas to undercut Americans in the job market. Even if you are able to find work in IT, the reckless practices of these companies lowers the wages of all Americans, all so that a few people outside of Texas can make big profits. .
TOTAL TEF AWARD: $5,180,880
Oracle
The founder of Oracle is worth over $85 billion. For some reason, the Texas legislature is awarding his company a cool $1 million of your tax money. Why? So he can be even richer? How does this help conservative agendas?
TOTAL TEF AWARD: $1,000,000
Dow Chemical
Dow Chemical, which has been awarded $2.5M of your tax dollars, announced it was “immediately suspending all corporate and employee political action committee (PAC) contributions to any member of Congress who voted to object to the certification of the presidential election.” The move is more aggressive than most in that the company laid out in a statement that the ban “will remain in place for a period of one election cycle (two years for House members; up to six years for Senators), which specifically includes contributions to the candidate’s reelection committee and their affiliated PACs.”
TOTAL TEF AWARD: $2,500,000
Microsoft
Microsoft is getting $4.8M while they develop “immunity passports” to digitally track proof of being administered the Covid vaccine.
Chair of the House Appropriations Committee, Giovanni Capriglione, implied he was against such programs, yet he will soon be responsible for distributing millions of dollars to two companies that are actively developing it.
Does Capriglione think we don’t see this scam he is running?

Why Are We Doing This?
2020 was a year full of hoaxery and gaslighting, and 2021 isn’t looking much better. Our shared outcomes for the future are not certain, but many things have spiraled far beyond what we can control as a people.
At Current Revolt, we have specific goals in mind. Sure, from time to time we point things out and complain. In fact, that’s very easy to do. It’s especially easy to do if you run a leftist website that just shames normal people for not holding the same worldview as the HR department for every mega corporation. There’s some very interesting brain activity involved with this type of “explanation free” shaming that perhaps we will cover another day.
We aim to educate and promote an alternative world view to that of the failed ‘conservatism’ that has delivered nothing but a country and culture in total free fall. In many ways, it is not the fault of the average person. They were presented with a political concept called conservatism that made sense to them, they were told it was different than liberalism and they adopted this worldview.
Now we see that this “National Review” brand of conservatism that started to take shape in the late 60’s was a trap.
What we were sold is that economic growth and prosperity will foster conservative values and unity. It was never explained how this would work, because it was a lie. We know that now.
It’s time to start making decisions not based on ideology or other abstract values, but on our own interests. Putting the people of Texas first.
It appears to many observers that Democrats deliver victories to their constituents at the expense of being logically consistent in terms of their values. If you believe this, it’s because you are not properly identifying what their values are.
They are actually totally consistent.
Their values are to always WIN.
