COLLIN COUNTY GOP TO MAKE ILHAN OMAR DONOR A DELEGATE
Another day another (potentially) embarrassing move by the GOP.
Collin County GOP is set to have their SD convention tomorrow where we have been told that they are potentially giving alternate-delegate status to an individual who has voted for and donated to Democrats.
Matt Rostami, who spent over $354,000 running a losing campaign against Angela Paxton, has no intention of exiting Republican politics in Texas.
This is despite overwhelming evidence that’s shown Rostami has not only voted for Democrats, but has also donated thousands of dollars to Democrat politicians.
Here’s a review of Rostami’s (real name Mahdi Rostamizadeh) voting record from GOP DataCenter:
So we’ve got an individual who swears he’s a “conservative Republican” but votes in Democrat primary elections.
Let’s also look at his donation history via the FEC:
Many consider Ilhan Omar to be even more extreme than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Rostami has also been very open about his disgust in President Trump.
At Current Revolt we actively support and encourage people leaving the Democrat party, gaining some IQ points, and becoming Republican, the difference here is Rostami voted for and donated thousands to Democrats and communists, and then less than 365 days later decided to spend over a quarter of a million dollars running as a Republican, and call himself conservative. It doesn’t add up.
The GOP is well known to be incredibly soft when it comes to vetting and holding our ground, not only on issues but also on our candidates. It’s no wonder our country continues to very slowly burn to the ground and every year we lose more and more of our rights.
Even the Texas Democratic Party has stricter rules on who they allow to become precinct chairs.
We reached out to an individual in Democrat party leadership and asked if they would allow someone with such recent donations and voting record for an opposing party to become a delegate.
(laughs) “Absolutely not. Our rules are in place to ensure we not only vett individuals but also make sure they won’t stray from our party beliefs.”
