Imposing Will: Why the Left is Winning and How to Fight It.

On March 29, Steven Crowder published video of himself arguing with Steven Monacelli, a journalist, at a Change My Mind event on the UNT campus.

Throughout the interaction, Crowder and Monacelli circle around the definitions of sex and gender. However, even more fundamental to the conversation than that, is Monacelli’s inability to admit that high level sports is about winning. Several times Crowder tries to force the issue and Monacelli avoids the subject, equivocating that sports is about team building or fun. He even says that Crowder clearly never had fun playing sports because Crowder cared about winning. Then, around the 17:20 mark, Monacelli says, “We should maybe stop taking sports so goddamn seriously.”

This summarizes the crux of the issue. Monacelli clearly doesn’t care about the issues of gender in sports. It’s a niche topic. He’s hilariously poorly informed on the actual data. (To the point that Crowder starts using his own sources to prove him wrong.) And, he has clearly given very little real thought to the issue. Instead, he’s someone who both has never competed nor was ever any good at competition in sports and is just looking to impose his will on those better than him.

Much of what the Left does is similarly motivated. It makes no sense to force high school and college girls to compete with transgender biological males who make up less than 2% of the population. They do it to force you normal people to bend the knee to them. It makes no sense to force diversity, inclusion, and equity training and programs in the work place. They do it to make you bend the knee. Their policies and agendas never improve or encourage the success of the sport, organization, or group they are trying to join. Rather, it’s about making good, decent, normal people acknowledge them and bend the knee in some way.

William “Lia” Thomas, the athlete in question, is clearly a man. The height, wingspan, and lung capacity differences evident in this picture alone blow the notions of “fairness” and “kindness” out of the water.

UNT is the same school that allowed multicultural frats to get in knife fights and a mob to attack a speaker and a political club leader on the same night. Monacelli is the typical denizen of that school. As recently as the past week, he attempted to dox a friend of Current Revolt. He’s not interested in improving your life or the lives of others in his community. He’s only interested in imposing his will on others. The same is true of the rabid mob that attacked Jeff Younger and Kelly Neidert. An articulated debate with decent fact finding is not in the cards for them. They care only to hurt you and impose will on you until you bend the knee.

Keep this in mind when you ask yourself why the school allows hooliganry but would never tolerate the Right doing similar things. The takeaway is very simple: you must safeguard your institutions. Take the time to harden your chosen organization, company, or group against this kind of interference. Vox Day correctly notes on his blog that any organization that is not explicitly right wing will become Left-wing over time. If you help run a kid’s soccer league, put bylaws in place defining the specific criteria for competition. (IE biological sex explicitly instead of gender.) If you are a part of a church, make sure to nip any small amounts of social justice narrative in the bud. Et cetera.

By preventing Left-wing takeover of these small, seemingly inconsequential groups, you create a foundation for normal people to interact and solidify without insane people poisoning their relationships. These relationships will provide you a solid base for political organizing moving forward.
