VIOLENT CRIME UP 42% IN DOWNTOWN DALLAS
·
Crime is up, arrests are down, and the ball in Downtown Dallas always has lights burned out.
The new AT&T HQ is to be at 5400 Legacy in Plano.
The move would likely revitalize the Legacy-East area which has seen a massive downturn in traffic and a slew of closed stores in the area.

Can't say I blame them...our city council and DPD allowed this to happen... Totally preventable
In 2025 the Boston Consulting Group was hired by Downtown Dallas Incorporated. They found and warned that ongoing public safety concerns, homelessness and even assaults near the headquarters could push AT&t to leave. Some advocacy groups claimed employee assaults happened and tied it to recent move to Plano. AT&t did bring up a public safety concerns privately in talks with the city. YOU THINK DPD DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS?
