We’re heading full steam into the first special session of 2025. After touting a “generational investment” in water infrastructure during the regular session, Governor Abbott’s agenda is packed with what looks like even more water infrastructure proposals to deal with flooding. So things already look shaky at best. Be sure to watch your inbox as we are closely monitoring the situation.

Many familiar items are back on the agenda, including property tax relief (lol) and banning abortion for the tenth time. But notably missing is any mention of voters’ top priority—immigration.

Abbott and House Republicans refuse to pass an E-Verify law that covers more than 3% of workers, but one city in DFW claims they are going to do more to stem the invasion.

The City of Keller is considering an ordinance that could, perhaps, result in removing more illegal aliens than it has in the past. But how many are they even arresting in these cities?
