Lina Gives First Interview After Escaping Looney Bin
This is about to get weird.
We need to talk about the craziest thing in American politics right now—Lina Hidalgo.
The Harris County Judge officially stopped showing up to work on August 7th, citing the need for immediate treatment of depression, which she called a condition “like any other health condition.” We now know that she went to New York during part of her vacation, where the weather was much nicer than Texas in August.
The 32-year-old Hidalgo is a rising star in the Democratic Party, but not really because she is special in any way. She is one of their most promising politicians on the left because those attracted to radical left-wing politics are antisocial weirdos, and Lina comes off as fairly normal.
However, you can’t judge a book by its cover, and after this interview, many people are saying there’s something else going on here.
Upon returning to work, Lina gave a long interview to CBS that is absolutely nuts.
The first thing you notice in the 35-minute video, titled an “extended interview”— is that the video is highly edited.
Within the first few seconds of the interview and on the very first question, her answer to “How are you doing?” is edited mid-sentence.
Even though the interview is chopped and screwed like a Houston rap album, she divulges some crazy personal details and political clues for what might come next. I’ll post short clips whenever possible so we can break this down, and then we can speculate on what is really going on here.
She also says she thought about killing herself.
Her comment about being initially suspicious of Big Pharma’s antidepressant cocktails was intriguing. Lina says she used to be biased against antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications for “no good reason.” She then says she “heard horror stories” about the “weird medications” that Big Pharma produces to treat these ailments.
You’ll notice there is apparently a contradiction between “no good reason” and “I’ve heard horror stories.” That’s ok— there are many contradictions in this interview, and they are explained later.
At some point, and it would seem it was throughout the entire 8-year story, that she was taking these weird medications.
As I’m sure the reader is aware, these depression and anxiety drugs warn on the package that they can turn you into a suicidal maniac killer.
Lina says that when she was 24 years old, she was diagnosed with anxiety. It would seem she was put on some kind of pills at that time. However, she says anxiety was a misdiagnosis, and that Lina, the unmarried and childless professional liar, has actually had clinical depression for the past 8 years.
Telling the story of how she went from bad pills to good pills, she says, “Luckily I got dehydrated,” which made me laugh.
Things get really weird when she says several times she was inspired by John Fetterman.
At one point, the interviewer slows the pace and asks Lina a real question.
He asks Judge Hidalgo how she will respond to critics who will say, “Wait a second, the woman running one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country is admitting that she has had some serious mental health issues over the course of her entire political career? … Maybe she’s not cut out for this.”
Lina then makes this face.
After that, she starts to form a somewhat suspicious narrative around trying to normalize depression. She says that is “the goal” of her public humiliation. Just like single moms went from socially unacceptable and shunned to accepted and aggressively encouraged, Lina is explicitly pushing a meme about how the All-American girl-next-door type may also have depression and be taking what Lina calls “weird” pills.
The interview takes a strange turn when Lina says her depression source comes from her continued success in life. Saying she is a “victim of her own success,” she says it’s actually very good that she is depressed because her desperation and success go together in tandem. I’m not kidding. It was sort of hard to follow what she meant by these kinds of statements, and this portion of the interview seemed to be just random statements from Lina clipped together.
She says she wants mental health breakdowns to be as normal and accepted as breaking bones or having diabetes.
She seems to say 115% of people will have a mental illness in their life? I’m not sure what she is saying.
This interview has way too much to break down for 1 article. We haven’t even gotten into the conspiracy theories yet.
So you’re telling me the single, girl boss communist who has no values is unhappy and depressed? I for one, am shook.
When you are an Authoritarian, then you are a victim, as everyone is a victim, of your success. What she cannot admit to herself is that her actions as a public office holder are immoral and anti-life (very broad sense). Therefore, they are never right. They are never the best they can be even when they are the best Authoritarian actions she can take. In summary, she is mentally ill because every minute of every day of her life is a battle against reality.
