Protestor Shows Up at Representative Jeff Leach’s House During Christmas Toy Drive
During his 10th annual Christmas Open House & Toy Drive, Rep. Jeff Leach had a man show up outside his home to protest about the Texas House Speaker race.
The protestor, Dan Chandler, showed up with a sign related to the Democrat Chair issue as well as a handful of flags, including the Confederate flag.
Chandler once ran for office as a Republican candidate in the HD70 race.
While protesting, Rep. Leach was hosting his Christmas toy drive event, which benefited the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County.
Chalder eventually left the property as the night went on.
We don’t see the political strategy in protesting a Christmas toy drive for children, but we also don’t lead grassroots political groups.
Joe Biden Pardons Chinese SMU Student Guilty of CP Possession
Outgoing President Joe Biden pardoned a Chinese SMU student who was convicted of having 47,000 child p*rn images on his computer.
Shanlin Jin, 23, issued the guilty plea in late December. He was also charged with two other counts related to child p*rnography: one for receipt and another for distribution of child p*rnography. He initially pleaded not guilty on all three counts last spring.
Jin, a Chinese citizen, was renting a home on the border of Allen and Fairview at the time of his arrest. He was also studying for a doctoral degree in economics at Southern Methodist University, where he was enrolled from fall 2019 until the end of the fall 2020 semester.
Outlets are reporting that Shanlin was pardoned in a prisoner exchange with China.
