The Paxton Story
The news of Senator Angela Paxton filing for divorce from her husband, Attorney General Ken Paxton, sent shockwaves through the state, as the petition filed by Angela Paxton cited “adultery” as the grounds for divorce.
Angela Paxton, a Republican who represents the McKinney area, filed a petition for divorce in Collin County on Thursday, according to court records. In her divorce petition, she accuses her husband of adultery and noted the couple ceased living together in June 2024.
In the divorce filing, Angela Paxton requests that she and Ken Paxton enter into an agreement regarding the division of property. The filing also indicates that Angela Paxton is requesting use of their McKinney home during the divorce proceedings and exclusive use of the vehicle currently in her possession. Angela Paxton also requests spousal support during the divorce proceedings, as well as attorney’s fees to be covered by Ken Paxton.
