Providence Village followup and some Dallas GOP drama
A lot of news from the weekend so here’s a couple stories to start your Monday off!
Dallas GOP Drama After Phelan Vote Hijacked
Across the state, local chapters of the Republican Party of Texas are passing resolutions to censure Republican Speaker of the House, Dade Phelan, after Phelan led the impeachment efforts against the accomplished and persecuted Attorney General, Ken Paxton.
Recent polling shows the impeachment has near-unanimous Democrat support, while Republican voters remain much more skeptical of the vague allegations of “abuse of office” and some securities case from 2015.
Several county parties, such as the Collin County Republican Party, wholeheartedly censured Phelan in brutal fashion. Others such as Denton County have attempted to censure, but sources say they cannot figure out how to hold a proper meeting, so their official position is unclear.
One county was planning on censuring Phelan, but the leadership scratched it off the agenda for unclear reasons. This would be the case with the hapless Dallas County GOP.
Highly regarded local activist Eugene Ralph Jr. explains what happened in Dallas County in perfect detail, laying out the philosophical and religious hypocrisy seen in the Dallas GOP’s actions. It’s pretty embarrassing for them, the way he lays it out.
Frankly this guy is (hands down) saner and is more in tune with God than Dallas GOP leadership.
Providence Village Followup
Last week, we reported on the Section 8 situation in Providence Village. Despite local concerns that the increase in crime and violence in Providence Village is directly tied to Section 8, the state government prevented the local homeowners from removing Section 8 holders from the neighborhood. A protest formed at the neighborhood entrance early Sunday morning. Current Revolt’s vast network of secret squirrels talked with some of the locals, you can see the video below.
Unsurprisingly, the Section 8 holders focused on “they badazz kids” and the annoyed and frustrated homeowners talked about the fraud and crime:

Unfortunately fighting a rise in crime is considered racist since most perpetrators are black or brown. Until the black community faces their reality nothing is going to change. Let's not be disingenuous about the issue. Crime does go with Section 8 and deniers are simply lying to themselves.
