Abraham George Announces Re-Election Campaign for Republican Party Chair
Abraham George announced he was running for re-election as Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas (RPT) today on X:
His re-election announcement comes days after D’rinda Randall, George’s own vice-chair, announced her own run for his position as chair.
Other rumored candidates include David Covey, who recently took a swing at RPT leadership regarding the Republican loss in SD9:
RPT bylaws require a vice-chair of the opposite sex so it will be interesting to see who George, Randall, and Covey choose as their running mates.
Precinct Chair Busted Handing Out Voter Guides with Denton County Republican Party Name
Denton County Republican Party (DCRP) Precinct Chair Sean Nelson was busted handing out voter guides using the DCRP name without permission from the party.
The voter guide bearing the DCRP name included specific endorsements for candidates which raised eyebrows among DCRP members.
Nelson did not have permission to use the DCRP name as an endorsement of his voter guides. However, another precinct chair tells Current Revolt that this voter guide was included in a bag with other candidates flyers passed out among the DCRP:
DCRP Chairwoman Melinda Preston would later send out an email addressing the voter guide issue:
Ag Commissioner Miller Shares FB Post Involving Possible Suit Against Activist
On Sunday, Agricultural Commissioner Sid Miller shared a Facebook post involving a possible defamation lawsuit against political activist Bonnie Cudlip, also known by her Facebook name “PoliticalGirl NxtDoor.”

The mugshot is purportedly unrelated to the content of the Facebook post which seems like a low-blow.
Cudlip worked for Miller as an assistant several years ago:

"RPT bylaws require a vice-chair of the opposite sex"
Impossible! Abbott and Patrick and Paxton have all assured me that DEI is illegal in Texas!
QUESTION: Denton County Chair is now upset about a Precinct Chair using the Denton County Republican Party on that push card---WHAT is the difference in this use of GOP and posting everywhere that I am the Precinct Chair>>> I have asked this question before when the GOP insists that it doesn't get involved in the primary---those PC postings are all over media using their position within the party to say YES I endorse JOHN SMITH---they are not claiming that Mary Jane endorses this candidate but PC MaryJane endorses. The added PC before the name MUST make it a protected asset??? Please explain the difference between the complaint and what is done routinely with no complaint.
