Monitoring the Situation (10/21/25)
Radio shows, inverted crosses, rainbow crosswalks, affairs confirmed?
Here are several stories that we’re monitoring, or have monitored, just for you.
Ortiz on The James Show
Tony Ortiz was on The James Show on WBAP to chat about the No Kings protests this last weekend. Give it a listen here:
You can follow WBAP on X here.
Texas Senate Candidate Hit With Odd Photoshop Job
Leigh Wambsganss, a Texas Senate District 9 candidate, was hit by a mysterious mass text that went out yesterday that seemed to display an image of her wearing an inverted cross.
In the text including an image of Wambsganss, you can see the cross she is wearing is upside down.
The mass text seems to have been sent out from a PAC called the American Jobs and Growth PAC. It was also mysteriously sent out on the first day of early voting.
The link lyingleigh.org takes you to a landing page that shows an image of Wambsganss without the inverted cross.
Wambsganss posted a clearer image of the altered image on her X account:
Very odd all around.
DailyMail Confirms Staffer Affair with Congressman Tony Gonzales
DailyMail published an article yesterday seemingly confirming the affair of a staffer with congressman Tony Gonzales. Current Revolt reported this affair as a rumor over a month ago.
Sources who spoke with the Daily Mail on the condition of anonymity said that Aviles and the married congressman became romantically involved after she joined his staff on November 21, 2021. Gonzales’s spokesman refused to deny the affair when repeatedly offered the opportunity by the Daily Mail. One source told the Daily Mail that their relationship continued ‘for some time’ and that Aviles’ husband, Adrian Aviles, was aware of the relationship at the time of her death.
“Historic” Rainbow Crosswalks in Houston Bulldozed
4 people were arrested for attempting to stop work crews from demolishing a rainbow crosswalk in the Houston neighborhood of Montrose. The move followed a directive from the Trump administration aimed at removing deviate sexual propaganda from public roads as part of the Make America Great Again agenda. It was only after this directive that Governor Greg Abbott did something about the nuisance, threatening action if they were not removed.
The crosswalks terrorized drivers and pedestrians for 8 years, but were erased in just a few hours.
A local television news segment repeatedly referred to the crosswalks as “historic,” despite the fact that they were only installed in 2017.
The Montrose neighborhood in west Houston, noted as a hotbed for Trump Derangement Syndrome, has spawned several viral memes, including the 2018 “Ted Cruz Sign Guy.”
One can only imagine Ted Cruz Sign Guy’s reaction to seeing the rainbow crosswalks erased.
Republicans Brian Harrison and Dade Phelan, who previously supported measures to legalize deviate sexual activities in Texas, have not yet commented on the crosswalk’s removal. We will continue to monitor the situation.
