Jasmine Crockett Says USA needs Illegal Immigrants for Slave Class
In a video that appears to be going viral again after Jasmine Crockett announced her run for Senate, Crockett argues that the Black community needs illegal immigrants because Blacks are ‘done picking cotton.’
This has long been the quiet reason more affluent members of the Democratic Party (and some in the Republican Party) have supported illegal immigration.
About ten years ago, Kelly Osbourne—a liberal celebrity—openly admitted on The View that Latinos were needed “to clean [your] toilets” while criticizing Donald Trump’s immigration stance.
At least they’re being honest.
Houston Democrat Mayor John Whitmire Effectively Booted From County Dem Party
Houston Mayor John Whitmire was effectively disavowed by Harris County Democrats last night, in a 186-80 vote barring him from future party endorsements.
Harris County Democrats voted Sunday 186 to 80 to bar Whitmire from seeking the party’s endorsement, citing widespread disapproval of the mayor’s decision to cozy up to Republicans. Critics pointed specifically to his support for the Houston Police Department’s ongoing cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and his appearance at a fundraiser for GOP U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw.
Whitmire would later release a statement in response to the vote.
In his statement, Whitmire belittles the party’s precinct chairs by stating they only make up a ‘small portion of the Democratic electorate in Harris County.’ Something that Republicans have also said about the SREC or their county parties when they get censured or face other types of disavowals.
Austin City Council Spending Deep Dive
Following our coverage Friday on the Austin City Council’s FOIA’d credit card transactions, we would like to bring you the latest on this situation we are monitoring.
We have reviewed the full list of Austin City Council members’ credit card transactions. We reviewed them long, and we reviewed them hard.
What we found was yikes.
It was $445,628.37 charged to government credit cards.
Nearly half a million dollars. Swiped. Tapped. Billed.
A large share of that money did not go to roads. It did not go to police or fire. It did not go to tracking down illegal aliens. It went to travel, conferences, catering, coaching, and software subscriptions that quietly renew month after month.
Start with subscriptions. There were 516 separate subscription-related charges, totaling $46,818.11. Mailchimp. Slack. Canva. Software billed again and again. Small enough not to raise alarms. Frequent enough to add up. This is how waste survives. Not in one big scandal, but in hundreds of charges no one stops.
Then there is woke spending. More than $13,000 went to DEI and racial identity-based programs. Conferences. Coaching. Heritage events. “Leadership” sessions.
Travel is also yikes. More than half of all card spending traces back to travel and conferences. These did not appear to be trips taken on behalf of struggling families or neglected neighborhoods. They were trips taken on behalf of the officials themselves. Trips that make the job more comfortable, more connected, and more prestigious. All charged to taxpayers.
There are also donations, sponsorships, catered meals, and consulting charges. All run through credit cards meant for small, routine purchases. Not for replacing oversight. Not for bypassing procurement.
This is what happens when the money stops feeling real. The card always works. The charges blend together. And us sucker taxpayers are left holding the bill. SAD!
