Vague posts and a roundup of recent news:
On Friday, House Speaker Candidate David Cook called for a political ceasefire in honor of Christmas, asking for “everyone involved” in the Speaker’s race to take a break on the debates, and for everyone to just enjoy their holiday with friends and family.
Sometime the following day, Courageous Conservatives PAC is alleged to have sent a text blast out to Democrats in Democrat Representative Mihaela Plesa’s district in the Plano area. While no screenshots have surfaced of the texts Plesa alleges were sent, she claims her personal cellphone number was included, and that messages were essentially trolling Democrat and tricking them into supporting Cook.
Cook took to X to disavow the PAC, and even stated that the text messages may have violated the law under HB611.
Seems like a stretch.
David Cook just accused (what appears to be) legal speech of being illegal speech. He further states, if it is not illegal speech, he plans to pass further restrictions to make the free speech he just discovered illegal in the future.
I was invited as a special guest to TPUSA’s AMFest event this last weekend.
I accidentally (no, really) walked into a party hosted by Influenceable. The CEO saw me and had me kicked out after I’d already consumed a good amount of their free food and drinks. For the record this had nothing to do with TPUSA.
Why would Influenceable have me kicked out of their party you ask? Well, Current Revolt was the first to expose that online political celebs were being paid by Influenceable to push paid political messaging without disclosing they were paid ads.
The majority of political celebs you follow online are being paid to hold political positions, very few actually care or can even explain half the stuff they’re being paid to promote.
We actually obtained a few more texts recently from Influenceable work-orders:
$100 for a couple tweets and $1 per 1,000 views. Not bad considering some of these accounts get 1M or more views per tweet.
Kay Granger Situation: MONITORED:
News broke this weekend that Texas Congresswoman Kay Granger is having health issues and has essentially abandoned her position.
According to Ms. Granger’s roll call vote page, Grangers last vote was on July 24th, 2024 as she voted No to the “Amendment in the House H.Amdt. 1157 (Miller) to H.R. 8998: To reduce the salary of Ya-Wei (Jake) Li, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Pesticide Programs, to $1.”
Since then, Granger has not cast any votes in Washington on behalf of her Tarrant and Parker County constituents.
It’s interesting to note that we actually reported on Granger’s health problems all the way back to June of this year. A whopping six months ago. It was a paid-subscriber only exclusive.
Our paid subscribers bascially got news of Granger’s health issues 6 months before the general public.
