Current Republican Party of Texas Chairman Abraham George announced yesterday that Benny Johnson would be the official emcee for the party’s gala this year.
On a recorded episode of Timcast, right-wing pundit and civil rights icon Milo Yiannopoulos alleged that Johnson took boys upstairs to his hotel room at a TPUSA event leaving his wife crying in a hotel lobby:

Talarico Hosts Event in Collin County
Last night Democratic Senate Candidate James Talarico hosted an anti-Paxton event in Collin County.

Candidate Staffer and Volunteers Try to Force Emergency Meeting to Force County GOP to Endorse Their Candidate
A group of Rod Vilhauer’s Frisco mayoral campaign staff and volunteers, who also serve as Collin County Republican Party (CCRP) precinct chairs, attempted to pressure the CCRP into holding a meeting to endorse their candidate.
CCRP Chairman Byron Henry sent out the following announcement addressing the attempted “fraudulent” meeting:
The staffers and volunteers decided to attempt to host the meeting anyway, which triggered a filing for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against the staffers and volunteers which was granted by the court:
Vilhauer staff and volunteers attempted to dissolve the TRO yesterday morning. The court denied the motion and the TRO remained in place.
Precinct chairs Rachel Elliott, and Herblin were both paid thousands of dollars by Vilhauer, who then in turn attempted to force the unscheduled CCRP meeting to endorse the guy they were working for:
This business of SREC, Precinct Chairs, and other party-connected individuals working or volunteering for candidates seems like a gross conflict of interest. Until the party decides to address this issue, it will continue being a problem.
Precinct chairs routinely endorsed their candidate choice using their party position in that endorsement across the state not just in their precinct or county. Saying that it wasn't official party business means what that the meeting wasn't authorized by the chairmen but Precinct Chairs can call meetings I was told. What is the difference of these precinct chairs calling a meeting even tho not official party business when they endorse the candidate of their choice?
