The Gonzales scandal continues to heat up as outlets have now published text messages between Gonzales and his late staffer.
"Send me a sexy pic,” he texted Regina Ann Santos-Aviles, then director of his regional district office in Uvalde, according to messages obtained by the San Antonio Express-News.
Santos-Aviles replied that she’d had a rough week and “you don’t really want a hot picture of me.”
“Yes I do,” Gonzales texted, adding, “Hurry.”
“No, I just don’t like taking pictures of myself,” Santos-Aviles responded a few minutes later.
Gonzales persisted: “I’m just such a visual person.”
The congressman went on to ask Santos-Aviles about her favorite sexual positions and to fantasize about having sex with her. Twice, she told Gonzales he was going “too far.” But at his urging, the two made plans to meet up two days later, when he would be campaigning in the Uvalde area.
“Will be lots of fun,” Gonzales texted, adding that they should rendezvous at the agreed-on place “at check-in time.”
Gonzales also asks for anal sex which is totally wheels off:
Just wow.
Acyn of Medias Touch happened to interview several congress members on their thoughts on the Gonzales affair, one that stuck out particularly was of Attorney General Ken Paxton:
Rep Troy Nehls, who invited Paxton as his guest to the State of the Union, had more to say on the affair:
Other members also had comments:
More to come.
Dallas County Republican Party Assigns Unregistered Voter Senate District Contact
The Dallas County Republican Party sent out an email earlier this week listing Brian Bodine as the Senate District point of contact despite Bodine having cancelled his voter registration last year.
The email, seen below, notifies Republicans of the upcoming Texas State Convention in Houston later this year. Brian Bodine is listed as the point of contact for Senate District 16.
However, documents obtained by Current Revolt from the Dallas County Elections Department in December indicate that Bodine had cancelled his voter registration sometime last year.
Maybe the party is short on staff, or incompetent, or both?
We reached out to Bodine to inquire if he informed Slagel of his cancelled voter registration. We also reached out to the Dallas County Republican Party for comment. We did not receive a response in time for publishing from either party.
Current Revolt is still waiting for Slagel to provide the ballot applications that CR requested back in December of last year.
Congressional Candidate Darrell Day Has Multiple Divorces Involving Police
Earlier this month, Current Revolt received a tip referencing a police report and warrant from 1997 (!) involving Congressional candidate Darrell Day alleging an assault on his then-wife.
In a reply posted on X, Fort Worth Star Telegram reporter, Bud Kennedy, pointed out that Day had another run-in with police surrounding his divorce with a different woman in 1987!
When reached out to Darrell Day for comment, he gave the following: “As someone happily married for 23 years, I pray that my ex-wife has finally found peace. Obviously, anyone can call the police for any bogus reason, and it’s pathetic that you would dredge up a call – quickly dropped by police – from more than 25 years ago.”
