The $819k loss directly contradicts an announcement by previous RPT Chairman Abraham George where he told delegates that the convention was “in the black.”:

The @TexasGOP's next campaign finance reports are due on 7/15 (TEC/state account) and 7/20 (FEC/federal account) and will show cash on hand in each account as of 6/30.
