In a press release today, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has submitted a referral to the Texas Attorney General’s office regarding birth tourism allegations involving Mission Regional Medical Center.
The letter from HHSC to AG Ken Paxton references the billboards advertising “BIRTH PACKAGES IN SOUTH TEXAS” as well as the website “havemybabyinTEXAS.com”
