One Last Stunt: Democrats Now Refuse to Go Home

They refused to come to work, now they're refusing to go home.

After fleeing the state in order to avoid voting on new congressional maps, Democrats have finally reported back to work, only to now refuse to go home!

For the last two weeks, in order to protest Republican gerrymandered congressional maps, Texas House Democrats fled to Democratic gerrymandered areas like NYC or Illinois.

House Democrats have since returned to Texas and have been assigned DPS escorts to ensure they return to work on Wednesday.

Permission slips were then assigned to House Democrats, and they were asked to sign the slips acknowledging their requirement to return to work. This permission slip allowed them to head home after session today.

However one Democrat seemingly drew the short straw and has stayed behind in order to get off one last publicity stunt out of this quorum break.
