And speaking of electricity issues, my power went out twice in the last week or so and our bill is higher than it needs to be. They need to fix OUR issues before they add on these mega usage facilities to the grid. And please stop calling them infrastructure. That is smoke and mirrors. We don't know wth they are going to offer us in the long term because no one has clearly defined their purpose and I again keep going back to those secretive NDAs, These centers just remind me of the Flock fetish our cities and PDs have to surveil us all. If you can't fully trust your government, why in the world are so many willing to trust these secretive energy guzzling data centers? And let's not even begin to discuss our water issues in Texas.
I am of 2 minds on this data center debate. On the one hand they sound like they are needed for a purpose. What the full disclosure of that purpose is keeps getting hidden from us or they would not require NDAs from most cities. Second they are pushing them so fast it makes one's head spin. Next, but in my view, very important are the hazards and damages they may cause the environment, insects, plant life, animals and humans since there is no long term data to research or study to make an informed decision on whether we want then popping up all around us or not. Without quality of life, what else can there be but to live getting exposed to more shit than we already have been exposed to by our government. Lastly , I am a BIG Trump supporter but unless he spills the beans on these data centers, I just can't support them like some have.
