Politicians Endorse Against McEntire After Being Named in her Announcement
This probably didn't turn out the way she wanted.
Earlier this morning, political activist Lisa McEntire announced her run for Texas House District 64 currently held by Representative Andy Hopper.
McEntire mentioned several Texas politicians including State Rep. Ben Bumgarner and Congressman Brandon Gill. Seemingly in an attempt to invoke authenticity and authority in her campaign announcement.
A short time later, those mentioned immediately released statements of their own endorsing incumbent Rep. Andy Hopper for re-election.
Rep. Nate Schatzline also gave his thoughts on McEntire’s campaign announcement:
Representative Andy Hopper won his race against former incumbent Lynn Stucky by an overwhelming majority.
A potentially tough race for the Canadian-born Texan.
We need a total shutdown of Canadian-born Texans until we figure out what the hell is going on.
