Rep. Briscoe Cain Threatens Lawsuit Against Abortion Pop-Up Store.
Portland, Oregon doctor shills abortions in a city outside Austin.
Rep. Briscoe Cain, one of the top 5 conservative representatives in Texas as shown in Texans For Fiscal Responsibility’s grading index, has been a longtime fighter for conservative values.
So when an OBGYN doctor from Portland, Oregon, opened up a pop-up abortion store here in Texas, Rep. Cain told her she was going to get sued.
A closer look at the pop-up shows that it’s not actually a store but an advertisement offering abortion services online via its website.
They do this goofy thing where they claim their display is an “art exhibit” to spread awareness for abortion.
When you head to their website, they specifically offer abortion service information, advice, and links to websites that offer abortion pills. They also offer information for those who live in states that value the lives of unborn children.
Because abortion is illegal in Texas, Mayday sends users of its website to either a mail-forwarding service so that women can order abortion pills from inside the US, or a European website where women can order abortion pills from overseas. The death pills are then shipped directly to “states with bans” on abortion.
This seems like some goofy, legal way to get around abortion bans. Although we don’t know if something like this would hold up in court— someone actually trying suing a company like this. Mayday even admits that shipments may be rejected when using their service.
AidAccess, a European website linked by Mayday, explains the risks of abortion as well as warning users that they shouldn’t be alone when proceeding with a medical abortion as well as the risks associated with abortion in general.
For surgical abortions, Mayday sends its users to the websites of organizations that promise to fund the trip for an abortion out of state, although some of the organizations, Like Buckle Bunnies Fund, are so sketchy that even their websites are unfinished and still have default placeholders on their pages.
Buckle Bunnies also only takes donations via Cash App and Venmo. Very sus.
Other than surgical abortion info, Mayday facilitates a roundabout way to provide medical abortions in our state when Republican Representatives worked hard in 2021 to ban abortion and provide penalties to those who both had abortions and the doctors who performed them.
The abortion pop-up didn’t last long - only 2 days. Seemingly because Bastrop is a Republican county and city, so it seems odd that this weirdo Portland doctor would target the nice city of Bastrop with her nonsense.
Non-Texans like this Portland doctor have their eyes set on Texas, as we’ve been effective in passing bills protecting the unborn from abortion as well as children from grooming propaganda. The Portland doctor is literally obsessed with killing children and making sure it’s a thing in every state outside her home.
This stuff is gross, demonic, and evil.
Rep. Cain’s threat of a lawsuit of course angered goofy leftists, and quite frankly, we’re glad to see our reps continue to be outspoken about their desire to protect the sanctity of our state.
Briscoe Cain is a true social conservative.
Briscoe Cain is a stooge for Dade Phelan.
Ken Paxton is the most conservative AG in the U.S.
Ken Paxton has always painted in the gray, and has violated multiple state and federal laws. His legal troubles have had a domino effect, resulting in increasingly unethical behavior over time to maintain political power.
Dade Phelan is not a true conservative, is hopelessly compromised by deals with House D's, and has less conservative policies across the board than Ken Paxton.
Dade Phelan is not wrong about Ken Paxton's personal and political corruption, although he is pursuing impeachment for personal/political reasons.
These are, interestingly enough, all capable of being true at once. Though cognitive dissonance is strong with this one.
