Rep. Money Declares War on Boomer Communism
Lieutenant Dan taking fire from his Right
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick recently proposed his age-based wealth redistribution scheme to provide “property tax relief.” Planning to further enshrine geriatric supremacy in Texas tax code, Patrick suggests lowering the appraisal freeze age from 65 to 55.
To compensate for lost revenue, localities would fiscally violate young people and middle-aged families, who already pay the most taxes anyhow, which Patrick has no plan to counteract. Besides, those 55 year-olds already getting screwed wouldn’t get their payments reduced, just frozen. Experts call this an example of “Total Boomer Luxury Communism.”
However, at least one Republican saw through it. East Texas Rep. Brent Money cashed in on critiquing Patrick’s plot to reduce Gen Xers and Zoomers to tax gulags, while tax-exempt geezers enjoy watching the youth enter into 50-year mortgages.
Rep. Money attacked the plan and called it what it was: a plot to tax young families to death.
