A San Antonio man was arrested earlier this week for alleged terroristic threats that include direct threats against Texas State Representatives and their families.
Jason Riggs was arrested on September 15th and charged with terroristic threats related to his posts on X. The alleged posts targeted Texas State Rep. Jeff Leach, Rep. Lacey Hull, Florida Congressional Candidate Mark Davis, their families, as well as other individuals.
Current Revolt reached out to Rep. Jeff Leach for comment. He directed all questions to the Texas Department of Public Safety (TX DPS).
TX DPS provided the following statement:
On Sept. 15, 2026, Jason Shawn Riggs, 48, of San Antonio, was arrested and booked into the Guadalupe Co. Jail by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Criminal Investigations Division (CID) on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear stemming from a felony theft charge. Upon further investigation, DPS CID filed an additional charge out of Collin Co. for terroristic threat causing public fear of serious bodily injury or death. The charge stems from threatening social media posts made by Riggs toward the family of a state lawmaker. A copy of the arrest affidavit can be obtained through the Collin Co. Courts. We would refer you to the Guadalupe Co. Sheriff’s Office to request a mugshot.

The social media account allegedly belonging to Riggs appeared at one point to be a women’s footwear fetish account that also followed numerous porn accounts:
