Talarico Seen With Girlfriend in Nantucket
Senate candidate James Talarico was seen in Nantucket earlier this month. Chris McNutt of Texas Gun Rights pointed out that Talarico was complaining about the wealthy and powerful shortly after his visit to the home of the many wealthy and powerful:
Talarico was seen with his girlfriend during the Nantucket trip in this video clip recorded by Chad Pierre Media. (Chad Pierre Media incorrectly refers to James Talarico as “Congressman”)
The New York Times reported today that Talarico’s camp confirmed that he began dating Menard while she worked for him:’
The campaign has since said she is Brianna Menard, a health care lobbyist who used to work as Mr. Talarico’s chief of staff. Pictures of the couple have circulated online.
This wouldn’t be the first staffer Talarico dated according to NYTimes:
Another legislative staff member also dated Mr. Talarico, his campaign said. She worked for a different state lawmaker and never directly for Mr. Talarico, she told The Times.
A habit of dating staffers is kind of odd but hey, many such cases.

The Nueces Mosque, a student-run group in UT’s West Campus, is about to do something no Republican in the Texas Legislature has managed in years: use a Republican law exactly as written.
On Wednesday, Austin’s Historic Landmark Commission was briefed that two historic houses owned by the mosque at 1906 and 1908 Nueces were approved for demolition on July 16. Three weeks earlier. There was no hearing, and there was no vote:
